All of this is evidence. “Proof” will be some time in coming, perhaps at Putin’s trial before the ICC. We will hear plenty of the news over the next few days. The operative word from the Ukrainian side has been
“Shhh!”
for some time, and I will go with that. News from the Russian side, as well as from Russia’s ally China, meanwhile, has been dire.

The consequences of this outrage will be quite devastating to both the territory and the people whose lives have been already overwhelmed by the past decade of war and revolution. I clearly echo the sentiments shared by Honeybee.
I wonder how long it will take Seymour Hirch to hash out the truth. I suspect not very long. Among the motivations for this bombing which Alex does not share in his commentary is that those who perpetrated this crime did so as a threat of their commitment to upend any norm to support their lack of performance or ability on the battlefield. Of course, as Ted and Alex both noted, Ukraine was quite well positioned with their propaganda campaign to blame Russia which was quickly echoed by the Western Pravda centers of fake news, but time will tell the truth of who committed this outrage, and I do not believe we will have very long to wait for that truth to be told.

I prefer to wait for something more definitive. Somebody planted a bomb. We know that Ukraine was first out of the gate to blame Russia and most of the western media chimed in. My guess is that this was a desperate move on the part of Ukraine to keep the war going. Time will tell like in the bombing of the pipeline.
