BERLIN – Before going on their end-of-the-year vacation, the heads of the Dutch Foreign Ministry were asked to respond to a series of questions from members of parliament’s foreign affairs committee regarding their office’s budget for 2013. The procedure is routine, but this time the members of parliament asked questions regarding the essence of the financial aid the Dutch government has been granting the Palestinian Authority and the refugee organization UNRWA for decades.
The Foreign Ministry heads managed to dodge the questions about the continued funneling of funds collected from the tax payers to the Palestinians, through various channels, despite the continued terror activity and anti-Semitic and anti-Israel incitement. They also avoided answering questions regarding the perpetuation of the refugee problem by assisting UNRWA.
So, the Dutch, like the rest of their European colleagues, will continue to finance the continuation of the Israeli-Arab conflict next year as well – despite their mounting economic problems.
The European Union prides itself on being the single largest donor to the Palestinians. According to official data, between the years 1994 (beginning of implementation of the Oslo Accords) and 2011 the EU transferred five billion euros to the Palestinians. Additional funds were transferred to the Palestinians by national and private European bodies in various frameworks. Members of the European Parliament failed in their repeated attempts to determine how these funds were used and whether they were used to finance terror and incitement against Jews and Israel. An internal report drafted by the European Union on the matter was shelved.
There is no need for an in-depth investigation in order to draw the following conclusions:
1) The European Union, including all its member states and the organizations that are funded by it, is the main contributor to the process in which the Palestinian nation is becoming chronically dependent on foreign aid.
2) Europe is actively supporting a policy that perpetuates the Palestinian refugee problem, which the Arab countries are trying to take advantage of in order to bring about the demise of the State of Israel.
3) The Europeans are supporting the Palestinians while completely disregarding the Palestinians’ lack of commitment to the “two-state” solution and their refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state – despite the fact that UN resolutions obligate them to do so. Furthermore, European governments continue to transfer funds to the Palestinians despite being well-aware that the Palestinian Authority – which is headed by Fatah and Hamas – is educating generations of young people to continue the struggle against Israel until it is annihilated. And all this while social and economic chaos threatens the entire Old Continent.
Now Europe is intervening in the Israeli elections by issuing threats and condemnations in order to secure the establishment of a Palestinian state in the near future, despite the Palestinians’ refusal to negotiate with the elected Israeli government. By becoming a patron of the Palestinian annihilation campaign against Israel, Europe is knowingly joining Israel’s enemies. If and when a third intifada breaks out, it will be Europe’s fault, and the Israeli public must internalize this.

Thank you for these videos too. I’ll keep them in a reference file. ~~~ It has taken only a few years – one generation at most – for Israel’s enemies to re-write history. ~~~~~ Even some nice well-meaning people don’t know the basic historical facts about modern Israel. The public has been brainwashed into seeing the well-armed IDF as a powerful colonial oppressor – disregarding the true reasons why Jews cling to their land, why the IDF needs to be so well armed, why Israelis need to build separation walls, and why the ‘poor Palestinians’ often end up in jail. ~~~~~ People have forgotten than for the past 2000 years Jews lived in a state of slavery and complete victimization – and that since the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, the ‘powerful state of Israel’ has only existed for barely the past sixty-five years, always threatened, always fighting for its survival.
PS – I watched the film “Cast a Giant Shadow” the other night, based on the true story of US colonel Mickey Marcus, who fought in the Israeli 1948 war. The film was made in 1966, with Kirk Douglas, Johm Wayne, Frank Sinatra, and many other stars. I kept wondering how today’s Hollywood would approach the subject, if at all.

My first reaction is always We should disseminate these videos more widely, send them to ‘humanitarian organizations’ and to politicians who demand a more ‘balanced approach’ in foreign policy, such as our opposition parties in Canada.
But then, my second reaction is that it’s Israeli politicians who should be watching these videos too. They are the ones who should be taking a refresher course in The Real Israeli History 101. They seem to have forgotten so much.

Actually Laura’s statement is a logical conclusion from facts. Europeans have been engaged in a chronic, culturally congenital habit of killing and swindling Jews for 2000 years. What this article implies which Jews appear to be unwilling to internalize as fact is that the Europeans are at this very moment continuing with the same habit. The only difference is that they are more covert as they still have a bit of shame. However, they have found the way to throw off this shame by assuming a moral mantle of lies that will ultimately allow them to re-embrace their true nature overtly. A 2000 year habit is normal 60 years of hiatus is abnormal and facts prove that the “hiatus” is an illusion and dangerous for Jews to believe. The europeans are trying to cover up their funding, logistical and moral support to Jew killers under the guise of a humanitarian project(pal self determination agains the evil jews). Nazi eugenics was a european humanitarian project. It is time for jews to stop making excuses for europe and call them out as the despicable and loathsome population which they really are; unless one does not consider the funding and support of jew killers as despicable and loathsome. Their behavior might not be genetic but whatever the cause it is chronic and dangerous to Jews with no logical basis to assume it has abated; rather it is in short term reduction, similar to past reductions. SUGGESTION –
There have been many ideas offered to counteract the Europeans’ insidious plan to dismantle Israel. Implementation of those ideas is hard when Israeli authorities don’t cooperate. European-funded NGOs operate freely in Israel with no objection from the govt, and representatives of countries that were perpetrators and accomplices of the Holocaust are allowed to strut into Israel demanding partition.
My suggestion is a tiny one but worth doing. As some of you may be aware, anti-gun Hollywood stars produced a video where they plead for gun control. Do it for the children, they beg. ~~~ A few days another video went viral in response. It used clips from the original but interspersed with movie scenes of absolute carnage. ~~~~~ Imagine this: Hollywood star pleads you to disarm, then a movie shot of gunmen and blood spurting all over. It was a strong denunciation of Hollywood greed and hypocrisy. They make millions from glorifying violence, but they don’t want good citizens to own guns to defend themselves. ~~~~~~ Something similar could be done about ANTI-ISRAEL EUROPE. A video with no comments. Just clips of what Europeans have said about Jews, what they have done to them, of their close alliance with the PLO and other Jew-killing groups and countries. Include clips with genocidal statements by ‘moderate’ Arab leaders, the same ones that are warmly received by the Pope, the same ones that are recipients of billions of EU aid. All that interspersed with Europeans’ own pious statements about United Nations Resolutions, about Israel’s humanitarian violations, etc.
This is a project that would entail time, research, but not money. It can be done. And as long as it observes the well-known YouTube unofficial rule against showing graphic scenes of carnage by Arabs against Jews, it would go viral. ~~~~~ Denounce Europe’s hypocrisy, CORRUPTION, (not-so) hidden genocidal intent against Israel, and their own violation of international law when it comes to Israel’s right to its present borders.
