JERUSALEM, May 31, 2011 (WAFA) – The EU granted 6 million euros to the Palestinian Authority (PA) Tuesday to support the development, cultural, educational, health, humanitarian and human rights sectors in Jerusalem.
Head of the President’s office Hussein al-Araj signed the agreement with EU representative Christian Berger at the EU headquarters in Jerusalem.
Al-Araj said the project was based on the sectoral plan, prepared by the EU and the PA and approved by president Mahmoud Abbas, for the development of services and needs for Jerusalem residents. The plan, estimated at $428 million, was prepared with the involvement of the Jerusalem community and funding by the EU.
Al-Araj hopes that this plan will receive Arab and Islamic support in order to face Israeli plans of judeaizing Jerusalem.
This funding will be implemented by Jerusalem organizations under the full auspices of the EU, with a high committee as an advisory body to ensure the project’s success.
Perhaps the Government of Israel could learn from the mafia. Last century after a big earthquate in Sicily, the Italian government threw $billions towards reconstruction in Sicily. It all ended up in the pockets of Cosa Nostra. Israel should let the EU throw their dimmi jixya to the PA then pocket it. Just a thought.

Why the hell do the Israeli authorities allow this? They need to freeze those funds. Don’t they control the banking needs of the PA in any event? They need to send a clear message to Europe that this shit will not be tolerated. What’s the EU gonna do? That they haven’t threatened to do already? Israel has little to lose in this. They need to put a finger in the EU’s chest NOW.
Israel needs to put its foot down and stop this. It has gone on record as saying there will be no division of Jerusalem with Muslims. Does a law need to be passed? It needs to stop Muslim renovation of anything in Jerusalem. Where are Israeli authorities on this? Israel needs to convince all outsiders that the Muslimization of its holy city is not an option. Period.
