   I think this was the position of the british white paper of 1939. It appears that after balfour the british did everything they could to renege on their own declaration: first seviering off trans jordan and then coming up with the white paper to deprive the jews of any interest. The aim of the europeans appears to be to keep whittling down the jewish portion until it no longer exists.
   Short version: they are low life crooks and swindlers..
   these things are clear in the documents leading to the LON and UN charterart80:

   -the jewish people are to be encouraged to close settlement in their hational homeland of palestine.(right cannot legally expire even if the mandate is ended, assets and interests devolve to the beneficiary of a trust)

   The Jews were to be given political, civil and religious rights in Palestine and the arabs were given civil and religious rights. This was due to the arabs reciving political rights inthe other mandates created of syria and iraq.

   I am unfamiliar with this position. However, a serially slaughtered, swindled, extorted, libeled people would agree to anything to escape the insane pathologies of their chronic tormentors.    for some this is true.
   Only Israels power can be relied upon, no alliances or agreements can substitute.

   My current fear is that there may be an agreement under the table which has been evolving which includes GCC/US/Israel to reassert Sunni hegemony, weaken Irans shia/allawite surrogates of syria and hezbullah and allow the ascension of islamists controlled by qatar and saudi. This may work out for Israel if they next turn to Iraq and Iran now that syria and hezbullah are weakened and hamas has been weaned from Iran to sunni qatar. The gaza ceasefire and the Kurdish/turkish cease fire indicate this; also the faux pal state and the revival of the jordan confed.

   Right now I am leaning to the existence of an unfolding agreement which moves the GCC away from the paradigm of the Israel card. It is possible that they realize that the Israeli card backfired and sent their usual sphere of influence into the arms of shia, persian, Iran and that this Iranian axis is a clear danger whereas Israel is not. Iranian internal de-stabilization of the monarchs is existential danger to them, Israel is only a danger when attacked. However, it could also be a trick which results in the surrounding of Israel by Islamists.

If al qaeda takes over in Syria then it should strengthen the possibilities of Israel seizing a buffer zone, it has apparently been involved with negotiating that with the rebels, there is also the Druze. I thinnk that the destabiliztion of Iran with a persian spring and the external forces will be tried before an attack, using the kurds, sunnis, azeris, jihadis.

   I would imagine that there might be a price if what is unfolding is a deal. However, my wager is that the GCC is more interested in Iran and shia rather than Israel. I would not be surprised if they are moving away from the pal vs Israel card. Their future cannot be sustained by playing the Israel card. It is possible that the ME may be redrawn along ethnic lines.

    I think the plan may be to weaken syria and hezbullah first, hamas has already been weaned off Iran and put under Qatar Egypt{this reduces blowback on Israel and increases GCC hegemony. Will the jihadis in syria focus next on hezbullah and then Iran or will they turn on Israel. If they focus to Hezbullah instead of Israel this indicates to me that there has been a long term grand deal in place that has been evolving whereby everyone gets something they want or need. “Everyone” includes US/GCC/Saudi/Qatar/Egypt/Turkey/Kurds/Israel/Jordan/PA/gaza

    According to the Times, Israel would be permitted to purchase from American contractors the KC-135 refueling tanker planes, “anti-radiation” missiles that target air-defense radars, new advanced radars for jets and the V-22 Osprey aircraft.

    The deal also reportedly will include $3 billion dollars in military aid to Israel this fiscal year.

    The sale of the V-22 Osprey will be the first to any foreign military, according to the report.

One of the final questions that the show’s host Eyal Kitzis asked the premier was how he would like to be remembered after he leaves office.

    Netanyahu thought a moment and said, “I’d like to be remembered as the leader who preserved Israel’s security.”

    On the face of it, Netanyahu’s stated aspiration might seem dull. In a year he’ll be the longest-serving prime minister in the state’s history, and all he wants is to preserve our national security? Why is he aiming so low? And yet, the studio audience reacted to Netanyahu’s modest goal with a thunderclap of applause.

    After pausing to gather his thoughts, a clearly befuddled Kitzis mumbled something along the lines of, “Well, if you manage to make peace as well, we wouldn’t object.” The audience was silent.

    The disparity between the audience’s exultation and Kitzis’s shocked disappointment at Netanyahu’s answer exposed – yet again – the yawning gap between the mainstream Israeli view of the world, and that shared by members of our elite class.

    The Israeli public gave our elites the opportunity to try out their peace fantasies in the 1990s. We gave their peace a chance and got repaid with massive terror and international isolation.

    The fact that Dayton’s threat was issued at all is something not to be forgotten. Particularly since, as we have seen in the past couple of years, the US has been actively engaged in encouraging and arming MB revolts all over the Middle East.
