Dr. Arieh Eldad discusses the Middle East crisis
Israel in the Balance
Dr. Arieh Eldad, a Member of the Israeli Knesset and possible successor to Ehud Olmert as Prime Minister of Isreal, was recently interviewed by famed blogger Dean Barnett on the Hugh Hewitt Show.
What I found interesting in the interview was that Eldad said he almost hoped that there would be a war this summer against Hamas knowing full well, that in any war especially in Urban and well dug in enemy that in all probability would result in many Israeli casualties. Besides being a politician he is also a Doctor MD,( Platic Surgeon)specializing in Burn Victims, He has treated in his career many wounded and injured terrorists and as a MD has saving of lives uppermost in his beliefs. That he should be the one advocating war should send a clear message that he believes the threats and dangers of not going to war justify the loss of many young soldiers. He thinks that the alternative of not going to war soon will put the whole country in extreme danger and posed the question: would America stand idly by if a Taliban type of government were to take control of Mexico?
