@Michael She’ll do alright. Jan Sibelius composer of Finlandia* upon being asked the secret of his longevity is said to have replied:”Finnish guys last nice.” 😀
*Finlandia had its origins in political protest. It was written for the Finnish Press Pension Celebration of 1899, a thinly veiled rally in support of freedom of the Finnish press, then largely controlled by tsarist Russia. Sibelius’s contribution to the three-day pageant was a set of nationalistic musical tableaux.Sep 16, 2022 https://www.britannica.com › topic

Hi, Sebastien. I watched the video clip you cited,
Finnish PM rakes hatd line for war.
She ended her comment with a Kamala-Harris-like giggle. Not a good sign.
I’ve encountered hatred as an American from people from many places but two stand out. Yes, you guessed it, New Zealand and Canada.
Really, Sebastien? I don’t doubt you; I’m just a little surprised. Of course, the Canadian Americans I’ve known, all of them French-speaking, were fond of the US, their adopted country. The Anglo-Canadians we dealt with over the border were also friendly. I found the Chinese people, in the South and Hong Kong, likewise friendly; they especially seemed to like children. They are fed raw hatred of us in school, though. Australia was a mixed bag. The most intense hatred I’ve encountered has been in the US, among my own countrymen.
If UN votes were a true measure of hatred, Canada and Australia both would rank as pretty friendly. I think almost all the hatred I’ve seen of my country, in flesh-and-blood encounters, has been among White Democrats (I m also white). It’s purely demonic — there’s no reasoning behind it.
Typos: “Not limited to the EU” and “talks” Lost edit feature again.
Though if it’s all on the US, how come the video only criticizes European leaders by name and not limited to the US and tals about efforts, sometimes successful, to remove them at the ballot box? And are only Europeans suffering and not Americans from this nonsensical energy crisis?
I’ve encountered hatred as an American from people from many places but two stand out. Yes, you guessed it, New Zealand and Canada. 😀
Hi, Ted. You said,
Why should I support Biden who is foisting wokeness on us. I hate it. Don’t you.
Yes. We agree completely — on this, and just about all you said. I could comment on Putin, where we definitely do NOT agree; but it’s not worth the effort. As far as I’m concerned, Putin, Biden and Xi are all in cahoots and have been for years, with Hunter running errands for all three. They ALL profit from keeping the public in confusion and fear of nuclear war, as well as in prolonging the deadly distraction going on in the Ukraine.
Meanwhile, we in the US have been draining our national treasure (literally, in the case of oil) over a border struggle over 5,000 mi. away, while our own border has fallen into the hands of fentanyl-pushing, child-trafficking cartels.
Concerning those videos you say I probably didn’t watch, I did look at as much as I could stomach, which wasn’t much. Neither do I have much patience with partisans for the other side. They’re Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in my book: They all talk peace, but their heart is for war.
Russia was an integral part of the “West” (aka Rome aka Christendom and other monikers) from 1703 to 1917. Before that time, it was oriented towards Asia (and before that, to Scandanavia and Constantinople). In 1815, it was a major player in “Congress Europe” (along with Austria, Prussia and, of course, the UK). In 1900, it was part of the “Eight Nation Alliance” of colonial powers carving up China, along with the US, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Austria-Hungary and Japan a close match to the “G-8” of the early 2000s including the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia.
That’s the “Old Boy” network, which has had major spats before amongst them (such as WWII). In the Book of Revelations, the monster representing them has the same shape as the Devil himself. They’re all a considerable nuissance.
Anyway, I’m starting to feel more comfortable. See, I grew up in the 60s and 70s when everybody knew that the whole world hated Americans. We even began hating ourselves. Nice to see normality returning.
Well, I don’t plan to vote for Putin or Zelensky for Congress or NY state assembly in November, not that it’s really much of an option since the Democrat incumbent will be the only candidate in in my district. All the judges, too, though one spot has 3 Democrats up for consideration. I suppose I could do a write-in ballot. How to choose, they are both so appealing. Hmmm. Any ideas?
The matter is rather urgent since I know this conflict can never be resolved without my permission. 😀
@Michael. That’s better. You made your case. I made mine. No sense arguing about it. Time will tell.
You obviously didn’t watch all the videos I have posted on the subject by Mearsheimer, Turley, Redacted, Mecouris, TFIG, and The New Atlas to mention most of them. They all see it the way I do. Judging by your comment, I would guess you hardly read any of them.
I have nothing against the American people. I have many criticism of the government’s foreign policy but who doesn’t. Obama and Biden and the Deep State and the rigged election have all made me wary. I have nothing but distain for the current illegitimate government and their woke policies.
I particularly hate the way it forces us to embrace the two state solution with 67 borders. They do not have our best interest at heart. Trump was a breath of fresh air.
Name me one invasion by Russia of a foreign country in the last 30 years. They were invited in by Syria. On the other hand, the US has a history of organizing coups all over the world. including in Egypt and Ukraine. They also tried to overthrow Syria. The US has also invaded many countries like Cuba, Libya, Serbia, and Iraq in the last 20 years.
The war in Ukraine is a war between the NWO headed by the US and WEF and the civilization state headed by Russia. I support the nationalists and not the NWO. Why should I support Biden who is foisting wokeness on us. I hate it. Don’t you.

@Michael S.
you would prefer the world to have been led by the tender mercies of the Russians for the past 77 years
Why do you assume the world has to be led by anyone?
The world has ~200 countries, and all of them are at different stages of development, they have different languages, different cultures, they cannot all be the same.
To wish otherwise is to support colonialism and (at this point) Nazism.
To say that you live in a democracy after what transpired in the last couple of years is to believe in fairy tales.
To make it short (it would take a lot of words to give the background), the US leadership of the world right now is ruining the world’s economy, including that of the US, and bringing the world to the brink of a nuclear WWIII , even though it seems that the US is “winning”.
If we look at these developments as the fulfillment of the Great Reset plan by the WEF, the plan is working wonderfully under the firm guidance of the US government (which is just the fist of the very big business and the ultra-rich) while the “useful idiots” view it merely as a fight against “evil Russia” which was “evil” under the tsars (a branch of the British royal family), under the communists, under capitalists, and it will remain the West’s whipping boy (actually, it will be destroyed, conquered, and “genocided” the same as the Native Americans) if it doesn’t reverse this situation now.
Why are you smearing me and my posts. What you should be doing is presenting facts and arguments to the contrary.
Ted, I’ve presented enough facts, for what it’s worth. As for “smearing”, you call my people “tyrants” in the OP. I imagine you would prefer the world to have been led by the tender mercies of the Russians for the past 77 years; because that would have been the only feasable alternative.
You’ve been cheering for Putin, and booing the American people. Have your day, then. In the meantime, here are some facts:
Gross Domestic Product, by Country:
1. USA $19,485,394,000,000
2. China $12,237,700,479,375
3. Japan $4,872,415,104,315
4. Germany $3,693,204,332,230
… 11. Russia $1,578,417,211,937
Who do you think will win, in a war of attrition? I guarantee, it will not be Russia; and if you think it’s China, you’re wrong. China is going downhill, FAST, under its new Emperor. Putin cannot afford to continue replacing his military junk; and the US has many super-hungry, war-mongering industrialists eager to replenish its killing machine if need be.
In the end, when Putin’s personal wealth will buy him no more friends, he only has one weapon: his nuclear stockpile.
Germany has been happy to live under the US nuclear umbrella, without contributing its fair share for its own defense and that of Europe. It has been living in a fantasy, while American “deplorables” (or, as you prefer, “tyrants”) have been footing the bill. Now the Devil is at its door, and it wants to switch sides.
Germany and Russia… What a team! When have I seen this before? Ah, yes — 1939. This promises to be “Old Movies Night” on steroids.
The WHOLE disaster of today is the result of the major enemy (and indispensable) part of every human endeavor – RULE OF BUREAOCRACY
Michael S Press on !!!!!!!!!! Just an aside, we are too involved in Ukraine. Need to step down.

Sometimes we talk past a person without really listening to what they are attempting to say. If America is currently and has been for the last approx. 30 years the only superpower in the world. You can bet, when they speak the world listens. Those that don’t …… well we know what happens to those who stand up against ROME.
I listen to this twice, the second time in slow speed. Sounds like the world IM LIVING IN.
Agreed US/NATO behind this. everyone who lines up with them are pushing for war. Hungary is the only one I can find calling for a ceasefire and to start talking for peace, understanding it will take time. But the killing has to stop first before other agreements can be worked out.
Michael, spend a few hours here and see if you think differently.
@ Michael
I believe that the US/NATO is to blame for this whole mess. The problem is not because Europe wanted and benefited from cheap Russian gas. The problem is that the US is driving the war against Russia and the application of sanctions.
Russia always wanted a diplomatic solution and the US wanted to stone wall them.
In so doing Russia was the responsible party and the US the provocateur.
Ted, have you become a party member? Why all these Russian propaganda pieces? We know fully well, why Europe is tanking; and it has nothing to do with the US:
Why are you smearing me and my posts. What you should be doing is presenting facts and arguments to the contrary.
4
HI, Ted
Are you saying that there is no anger in Europe to the US?”
No. There are angry people everywhere. People in the US are angry with the US. Should we declare war upon ourselves?
Why is this a Russian propaganda piece?
Because it blames the US for Europe’s predicament, rather than the Europeans themselves and the Russians.
Who forced the EU to become dependent on Russian gas? The US?
Who forced the EU to become dependent on “green” energy? The US?
Who invaded the Ukraine — actually invaded it, with main battle tanks, cruise missiles, bombers, etc. The US?
This is CLASSIC Soviet-style Russian propaganda.
I don’t trust anything that the US or Ukraine says. Do you?
I don’t trust politicians and media from any country. For info about Europe, I’ve found the most reliable sources are Bannon’s War Room (American) and Zero Hedge (American).
