T. Belman. Col Macgregor starts off talking about tensions in Kosovo following independence and currently. It is particularly interesting because there was talk about dividing the country. That would involve severing a predominately Serbian population and the land that houses them from Kosovo and then to move the other Serbs in Kosovo to that area. This solution was rejected because the US thought they should learn to live with diversity. This mentality has implications for Israel.
The same issue is involved in Ukraine. Russia wants to sever the Russian population areas of Ukraine and the US is trying unsuccessfully to prevent it.

stevenI Yes everyone returns to their starting lines and we start again at about 50yrs. Isn’t that the history of the region
You really mean transfer back to where “they” originally came from.
If I remember Stalin intentionally sent Russians to other countries around Russia to create some kind of justification to control these countries.
T or F?
I have long advocated for population transfer as as a means to peace. After the WWII, Europe called it “ethnic homogenization” and did it. It was done all through Europe and also in the partition of India but was not permitted in Israel.
The Jordan Option is based on that idea.
