Actually, Trump is the Charles Ponzi of our time. He is a masterful manipulator. Like Obama, he has the ability to become tabula rasa, thereby allowing people to project their own preferred attributes onto him. He is whatever his fans want him to be. It is the signature characteristic of a truly great con man. Hillary could not sell blood to a vampire, whereas Trump could convince eunuchs to buy condoms.
I just finished watching the full hour or so of Trump’s event to what could only be described as multitudes of cheering citizens in Pensacola, Florida yesterday.
All Trump events involve massive audiences, and begin with a warm-up speakers and the thundering beats of high-quality background music. Yesterday was no exception, and included relatively short warm-ups from significant men and women, some of whom have traveled across the country to appear on behalf of this man.
They, and I, regard him as the greatest American leader of our time in this great country’s history. My instincts tell me that we will carry out the great program policies as he has promised. In my judgement, he is the Theodore Roosevelt of our era. He is the Harry S Truman of our era. He is the Ronald Reagan of our era.
If he is elected as I think he will be, and if he is successful, as I think he will be, then future generations of America will rank him close the fame and stature of Abraham Lincoln. And it will be well deserved, because he shall have saved the United States of America. Precisely all that is what so many people here think he shall accomplish..
