Defense Minister Yoav Galant toured the Gaza envelope today (Tuesday) and arrived at the headquarters in the Re’im area, where he held a situational assessment with Defense Ministry director-general Major General Eyal Zamir, the commander of the Southern Command Brigadier General Yaron Finkelman, and other commanders in the region.

Later, the Defense Minister visited Kibbuts Be’eri and met with the soldiers in the field, who he praised for their actions in defending Israel and its citizens.

“You fought with great courage and acted in the spirit of the IDF, exactly as you should act,” said Gallant. “You stood bravely on the front line, you struck many terrorists and saved lives. You saw with your own eyes what we are fighting against – against human animals – the ISIS of Gaza.”

“Thanks to your heroic action in your defensive mission, you will have the ability to change the reality here. You have seen the price, and you will get to see the transformation. Hamas wanted a change in Gaza, it will change 180 degrees from what they thought. They will regret this moment – Gaza will not go back to what it was,” he said.

“I have seen many soldiers and I understand what you have gone through. As a soldier who has seen friends fall in battle, I understand the sadness, the anger. There will be no situation in which Israeli children are murdered in the fields and in which Hamas will continue to exist. I have released all restraints – kill anyone who fights against us, by any means necessary.

“Whoever comes to decapitate, murder women, Holocaust survivors – we will eliminate him at the height of our power and without compromise. What we saw in the settlements there was a massacre, but in the battles – you won. We trust you and it is thanks to the IDF the State of Israel exists. We’ll be back here, in Be’eri, in a few months, and things will be different. We will settle the kibbutz to the last meter, and what happened in Gaza will not happen again,” Gallant said.

  1. Daniel Greenfield is right; but of course, we’ve heard this all before. As long as Jews base their actions on sentimental feelings, they will come up short. HAMAS-controlled Gaza must be

    COMPLETELY ELIMINATED,

    because these people have

    POKED GOD IN THE EYE.

    Zech. 2:
[8] For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
[9] For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

  2. “It’s easier to get forgiveness than permission.” And
    time is
    of the essence.

Isn’t there a bomb they could drop without the radiation of a nuke, that would just take all of Gaza out at
once without affecting the rest of Eretz Israel?

  3. Netanyahu has announced a “national unity government. This is the night of the living dead. Gantz and others who led the insurrection in the government are going to be part of the government. A fox guarding the chicken coup, Dracula guarding the bloodbank, a wolf guarding the sheepfold, whatever analogy that you like. The massacre happened because Israeli intelligence and police’s attention. like everyone else’s, was focused on the insurgency, resulting in their neglect of external threats. Some police intelligence officers may have been participating in the insurgency. Others may have been struggling to find a way of putting an end to it. In either case their attention was focused on the insurgency, not on Hamas, Hizbollah, Iran, etc. By bringing the people who facilitated the massacre to “help” Israel defeat Hamas will render any Israeli offensive in Gaza ineffective. Gantz and the others are run by the state department, and will force an end to the Israeli offensive as soon as Blinken and the others begin to complain that Israel is inflicting undue suffering on the poor innocent Palestinians. With their stooges inside the Israeli government, it won’t take long for the Israeli counteroffensive to end. The state department will wait a few days, or maybe a few weeks, for the emotional outburst of sympathy to die down, and will then with the help of their stooges in the Israeli government, orderrt it to end.

  4. Daniel Greenfield , in his latest article:

A war ends with victory. The destruction of the enemy. The Islamic terrorists have been waging a war meant to end in victory since Israel was reborn. Unless Israel fights to win, it will be lost.

What does a war look like? It is not “proportionate” or “limited”. It is not based on “deterrence” and does not end with a “truce”. If at the end of the war, the enemy still exists, you have not won.

Israel has yet to fight a war against the terrorists. Let alone win one.
