Coming out of the antisemitic closet.

By Valerie Sobel

Not even two weeks after the dismal failure of Democrats to come up with enough votes to pass a categorical resolution to condemn antisemitism, Democratic Presidental hopeful Beto O’Rourke on his campaign trail in New Hampshire charges: “We have a prime minister in Israel who has openly sided with racists.”

Bam! Just like that, another Democrat comes out of the closet.

How many more to follow?

Good old antisemitism, always a loyal sidekick to the ideological left, is right back in fashion. Little by little, trope by Omqr trope, one democrat after another is queuing up to turn Israel into the pariah they know their base wants. And if tiny Israel is the pariah, Islam, which surrounds Israel, is surely the victim.

What makes Sarsour, Beto, Omar, Tlaib, AOC, and the rest of the Democratic field that is sure to follow in these footsteps, certain they can get away with it?

Failure of their party to condemn antisemitism in a symbolic resolution earlier this month? Silence by Jewish colleagues, the likes of Chuck Schumer, Diane Feinstein, and Richard Blumenthal? Assurance of generational conditioning of American Jewry to Democratic Party allegiance? Perhaps the public’s clinical adherence to political correctness as prescribed by the leftists? Or, is it the broader complacency of average Americans whipped to fear the “islamophobia” charge as if it was God’s wrath itself?

All of the above, but on the surface only. The real reason is much simpler, albeit not as apparent.

The answer is mathematics.

In 1970 there were approximately 100,000 Muslims living in America. Today there are 4 Million. Current fertility rate for Non-Muslim Americans in the USA is 1.6. For a society to sustain itself with the same cultural demographic a ratio of 2.11 children per family is required. Historically, no culture has ever reversed even a 1.9 fertility rate. With Muslim families reproducing at a ratio up to 8.1 children per family, American voter base is quickly changing, to say the least.

Islam is now the fastest growing religion in the United States, replacing Judaism as the second largest religion in the country. In 2004, Islamic Strategy Conference in Chicago released the following statement: “We must prepare ourselves that in 30 years there will be 50 Million Muslims living in America.”

As the native Judeo-Christian population of America shrinks, so does a culture, so does the voter base. Beto and his campaign team know fair well what the new demographic landscape emerging looks like.

Nancy Pelosi and her entire Democratic establishment understands this basic math, too. They are not dealing with the ‘what if’ scenarios but rather a hard-core reality shaping up before all of our eyes. Antisemitism and anti-Zionism isn’t simply coming into fashion with the Democrats, it is becoming their tool to win future elections.

More antisemitic language from Democrats to follow? A virtual guarantee based on a strategic calculation that spells out “Muslim-appeasing rhetoric equals votes”. But with it also the tragic alienation of grass root Americans who understand this game all too well and feel no joy in throwing American Jewry and America’s number one ally under the bus.

  1. the biggest supporters of israel are evangelical christians. they vote republican and turned out in huge numbers for Donald Trump. They are today the base of the republican party. Mike Pence is one of them. This is the main reason Donald Trump won, and he has delivered what they wanted, so they will continue to vote for him. Unfortunately most jews are stuck in the democrat party, where they are increasingly hated by the left. I am Jewish, and I went to the CUFI Convention last summer. There were 5,000 Christians there with maybe 50 or so Jews, Speaker include Malcom Hoenlien, Nicky Haley, jewish soldier and many other jews and non jews who are supporters of Israel. In the night to honor Israel everybody was waving Israeli flags. You might think you were in an old fashioned zionist rally.

  2. there is another demographic factor. Secular jews have very low birth rates while religious jews have very high birth rates. In another generation or so, the secular jews will die and most will come from religious homes, who tend to vote republican, at least for presidential elections. Look at southern brooklyn. they have been voting republican in presidential elections for years. For local elections, they vote for democrats because there are no republicans running. this could change if the republicans field a good candidate in these districts

  3. @ leonkushner:
The left has not nor ever will wake up. Leon, you are dreaming. The reality is the left is a nightmare that has morphed into reality. A reality that will get much, much worse.

  4. Why am I not surprised? One day the Left will wake up and turn away from this nightmare of their love affair with Islam and their hatred of Jews. Until then we must expose them for who they are and what they are doing.
