Claims of “Jew Coup Against Trump” and “Jews Defiling America” Illicit Response

December 3, 2019 (Nashville, TN)

Laurie Cardoza Moore, President and Founder of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations and Special Envoy to the UN for the World Council of Independent Christian Churches (WCICC), condemns the antisemitic statements by the radio broadcast host Rick Wiles as heretical and believes they will ultimately incite violence against Jews.

As the producer of the award-winning documentary The Forgotten People: Christianity and the Holocaust, Cardoza Moore recognizes Rick Wiles’ outrageous statements to be similar to what Christians did throughout history to incite violent pogroms against Jews throughout Europe. A pogrom is a Russian term defined as a violent riot aimed at the massacre or persecution of an ethnic or religious group, particularly one aimed at Jews.

Laurie Cardoza Moore revealed that “in doing my research on the documentary, I was shocked to learn how Christians, in the name of Jesus, legitimized and justified their violent attacks against our Jewish brethren.  In studying the German culture at the time of Hitler’s rise to power, I learned that Germany was a highly educated Christian nation. So, I had to ask myself, how could a nation of ‘Christians’ tolerate the brutal slaughter of six million men, women and children?  I concluded that hatred of Jews is not relegated to the dark ages and that many Christians, such as Rick Wiles, are biblically illiterate.”

On November 9th, Jews and Christians around the world memorialized one of the most horrific pogroms in European history, Kristallnacht.  On November 9, 1938, Nazi Germany launched a pogrom in which 91 Jews were killed, 30,000 others were sent to concentration camps, 1,000 synagogues were burned, and over 7,000 Jewish businesses were destroyed or damaged.

In order to incite Christians to a violent civil war with Jews in the United States, Rick Wiles told his Christian audience that, “Jews are taking over America by launching a ‘Jewish coup’” against Trump.  This is outrageous considering many of President Trump’s supporters are Zionist Orthodox Jews as well as Evangelical Christians. Ironically, these Zionist Jews and Christians share the same biblical values and have the same concerns about the direction our nation is heading.

“Sadly, Christian antisemites throughout history, do not read their Bibles, but instead have altered God’s Word to justify their hatred and bloody, libelous attacks against our Jewish brethren.  These Christians say they serve God, but which God do they serve? It is certainly not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,” declared Ms. Cardoza Moore.

Last year, on October 27th, The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and earlier this year, the Poway Synagogue in San Diego were both attacked by antisemitic Christian Nationalists.  It is the type of propaganda spewed by Rick Wiles that incites violence.

The prophet Zacharias stated in the Book of Luke; “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets who have been since the world began, that we [Israel] should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, to perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, the oath which He swore to Abraham; to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear…  “ Luke 1:68-74

From this scripture, Ms. Cardoza Moore states that “if Christian antisemites like Rick Wiles read the entire Bible instead of quoting doctrines and traditions of men, they would know that the Messiah was sent as a ‘horn of salvation’ to Israel and that Israel would be ‘saved from her enemies.’  Isaiah also said Israel is called to be a ‘light to the nations.’ Unfortunately, because of fear of another pogrom or another Holocaust, the Jews have not been able to fulfill their biblical mandate to teach the Torah of Moses to the nations of the world.”

The prophet Zechariah stated, “Thus says the LORD of hosts: In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the fringes of a Jewish man, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'”  How does Rick Wiles reconcile these verses in the Gospel of Luke and the prophecy of Zechariah with his unbiblical theology?

Earlier this year, Wiles spoke at the antisemitic Christ at The Checkpoint conference in Bethlehem with other so-called “Bible-believing” Christians. These Christians are in defiance of God’s Word and advocate to make Israel Jew-free. Wiles has repeatedly accused Israel of oppressing Christians in Bethlehem with no evidence to back up his false claims.  However, the only Christians actually being persecuted in Bethlehem were the over 80% who fled Bethlehem after the 1993 Oslo Accords. They were not persecuted by Israelis or Jews but by the new ruling body, the Arab Palestinian Authority.

In describing the great apostasy and the coming of the lawless one, Paul wrote in 2 Thess. 2:11-12, that the Lord “will send a strong delusion that they should believe the lie, that they all might be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Has Rick Wiles fallen into this “strong delusion”?

Wiles has recently come out attacking Zionists. He referred to “Global Zionism” as the “fourth beast” from the Old Testament book of Daniel.  His hatred towards Jews has blinded him to know how to rightly divide the Word of God. To suggest that the author of the book of Daniel, a Jew, was saying that “Global Zionism” is the “fourth beast” revealed is an example of how biblically out of touch Wiles is with the Word of God and instead is injecting his own theology into the biblical narrative.

In the words of Dennis Prager, “Criticism of Israel is fine. Denying Israel’s right to exist isn’t. Anti-Zionism isn’t criticism of Israel. Anti-Zionism is opposition to Israel’s existence. That’s antisemitism!”

Wiles has stated that Zionism will be “the evil force that takes over the world in the Last Days and persecutes the body of Christ and makes war against the saints…. And it’s not Muslims that are going to kill us.  It’s the Jews!”

Wiles and other Christian antisemites should heed the warning from the book of Obadiah … God told the prophet Obadiah that He was going to wipe out the descendants of Edom in the last days because they stood by while their brother Jacob (Israel) was held in captivity and did nothing.  Wiles is being weighed in the balance and the scale is not tipping in his favor. He is misleading his followers and offending our Jewish brethren, a very dangerous business. In Luke 17:1-2; The LORD said, “… It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they [offenses] come!  It would be better for him if a milestone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, then that he should offend these little ones.”

Cardoza Moore unequivocally states that “Christian leaders must join me across the U.S. in calling this man out publicly by condemning his outrageous incitements to violence.”

  1. @ jottenstein:
I am sorry but I don’t agree with your first sentence. Where do you get that the muslims “are not opposed to Israel as a secular non-jewish state…”? I think yours is wishful thinking. The reality is that arabs and all muslims DO NOT ACCEPT that the Jews could have a state of their own, whether secular, atheist or religious, especially in the midst of the arab UMMA. The moslems would accept to not kill the Jews only if they would accept their status of inferior, second class citizens, without any civil and penal rights, with all the conditions of “dhimmi” i.e. inferior citizen in an arab country, including the obligation to pay the “jizya” i.e the tax for having their life spared. There is no way the Moslems would consent or accept a state called Israel i.e. where Jews govern themselves, no matter how secular or atheist this state would be. Your contention that moslems would accept Israel provide it would be a “secular non-Jewish state” makes no sense and it is difficult to comprehend. I suggest you read the History of Islam from Mohammed to our days like I did. You could start with the excellent historical book by Martin Gilbert: “IN ISHMAEL’S HOUSE – A HISTORY OF JEWS IN MUSLIM LANDS”.

  2. actually, the moslems says they are not opposed to israel as a secular non-jewish state, but as a jewish state. This means israel cannot accept the right of return of the islamists which means they would flood the country to take it over as a majority.
If Israel, takes over judea and samaria, they cannot accept the moslems as citizens like they now have with the Israeli Arabs. These arabs would either be considered citizens of Jordan, which really is a palestinian state. Eventually they would have to be removed either with monetary incentives or if that does not work by force. During the second world war, Czechslovia had a large number of Germans in the Sudentland. Hitler forced Czechslovakia in 1938 with the help of the allies, especially the prime minister of england at that time to give up the sudentland, and later he took over the country. After the war, these germans were expelled from the czechslovakia to germany. Some of them died. the czech viewed them as 5th column. Just like the arabs countries expelled the jews from arabs countries, Israel needs to get ride of these arabs in the west bank either by incentive or by force if that doesnt work. There is no alternative to keeping a jewish state
