Remember I put PLUS OR MINUS. You can add or subtract according to your information.
He is too busy with his new computer to answer to anyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Yamit82. Have a great day!
mar55 Said:
mar55 you may have to re-check you information sources.
Yamit 82 wishes to Thank everyone for the birthday wishes. Unfortunately there is no electricity in his cave, at this time, Ted and he are working on the problem. We communicate by a burro pack train.
Bear ??? Are Gila monsters kosher.??
@ Bear Klein:
I do have a life outside of the ” chit-chat”. Keeping Ymait82 satisfied is a job into itself.:twisted:
I thought Honeybee is one of the rulers of Chit Chat but I do not see her Texas sized comments now?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
YAMIT82. HAPPY 44TH BIRTHDAY. PLUS OR MINUS.
May you have a wonderful birthday with your entire harem.

Maybe so but it is always good to get the ring leaders.
I think it’s because the U.S. admin was razzed for going into Afganistan and Iran to get Bin Laden and it took them 10 years to do it!
bernard ross Said:
Sadly true. several hundred Muslims from the UK are with ISIS, so plenty of that where JJ came from.
@ dove:
I saw this news… but I am unimpressed. He is just another personality, a tool, a useful idiot. Killing him and talking a lot about it probably means that something else is going on that they do not want us to talk about and notice. the news is delivered like an old western… cowboys and indians…
@ bernard ross:
According to latest news reports Jihad John might be dead. 🙂 He was specifically targeted late last nite!
@ dove:
OK, block just appeared when I refreshed the page
testing 2 ways
@ dove:
look at my 26 and 27 to see that I could not use blockquotes to quote the articles. Are you able to quote the article on this page or from a website in blockquotes (not other posters)
dove Said:
I have the old highlight and quote button under your name to quote from a poster but I am unable to quote the article or a website and put it in blockquotes like we used to have at the comment box at the bottom. that is what I am referring to. I used to quote from websites in the comment section with the quote in blockquotes
so….when you click block 2 blockquotes appear. type or cut and paste the blocked quote in between the two then carry on after the second block.
Works for me!

sometimes if what i am posting bears no relation to any story, I post on chit chat, and sometimes not.
dove Said:
Look at my post, I have the same complaint
@ bernard ross:
Chit Chat is where you take a break and just chit chat. You know – ‘much ado about nothing’! a famous Jerry Seinfeld line.
Are you a moderator? How do you rate to still have all the extra features? Can’t even block off a quote now. But I can use these 8). Have the time they don’t show up either. Have a good day!

Why Iran and Russia aren’t as closely aligned on Syria as you might think
Russia is thus pursuing the revival of the Syrian military as its leverage in the country, with the belief that the only way to influence the future of Syria is through restoring the Syrian military to its condition before the eruption of the civil war in 2011 — in other words, a secular army that can easily be controlled.
Iran, on the other hand, has chosen a completely different path. When Iran saw that the Syrian army was near collapse, it sought to strengthen irregular forces made up of volunteers. The Islamic Republic thus established a massive force composed of Alawites. The latter has now become the main force combating the different armed opposition groups and is more powerful than the Syrian army on the battlefield. These volunteer forces, which number about 200,000 men, take orders from Iran rather than the Syrian government. According to some reports, about 20,000 Shiites from Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan have also joined them. These forces may very well come to play an important role in the future of Syria. Moreover, the Islamic Republic hopes to use them as a viable alternative to the Assad government. This strategy is not unique to Syria but also encompasses Iranian policy toward Iraq, Lebanon and even Yemen. In Lebanon, Hezbollah is at least as powerful as the Lebanese army. In Iraq, Iran-backed Shiite militias are now the main pillars of the country’s armed forces. Moreover, the Yemen army has been incorporated into the popular Ansar Allah forces.
It has also pledged to impede actions against Israel by pro-government militias and Hezbollah forces in the Golan Heights. Of note, Israel — unlike its Western allies — has not adopted or expressed a negative stance toward the Russian military presence in Syria, signaling that Moscow does not want Syria’s future political system to maintain an anti-Israeli posture.

Where did you go my Aussie friend. You are missed.
Herzog is a zero who never accomplished anything and invites himself to the table of every event in order to make himself appear like somebody relevant.
Hatzel is correct….. the Israeli left needs to be both accused and raked over the coals for seeking “tough love” and for spreading libels about the jewish state which ended in the murder of jewish children in france and revenge burnings in Israel. Herzog is one of the guilty who jump on leftist lynch mob bandwagons for opportunism.
Luckily, I neither belong to facebook and neither does israpundit, the only forum that does not censor the truth.
Yes it is much better especially the elimination of all the viruses.
I have been doing work on Israpundit to make it load faster. Anybody notice an improvement?
looks like the goal of creating the 1.5 billion consumption economy is nearing fruition. Perhaps one day these consumers will buy something from the US, or from international US corps who bring nothing into the US.
@ Bear Klein:
Crown heights, NY/ South-side Chicago with cactus. Why , if you have friends there it’s like San Antonio. There good sides of town to live. The oil boom has made South Texas more prosperous living there can be very nice. However I DO NOT RECOMEND crossing the border.
There is an old established Jewish community and Synagogue in Victoria, TX.
@ honeybee: Have you spent much time in the area around McAllen Texas or anywhere close in the Rio Grande Valley? If yes your impression?
@ mrg3105:
Good! I am happy to learn too – learn – very sensitive about being dictated to…there is a difference.
Actually, if I only had 2 choices – to be a ‘doormat’ or a feminist I would choose feminist. Fortunately there are other alternatives. It does result in greater losses – but it is worth it!
You should know by now not to bother arguing with some Americans about guns – they are too trigger happy and arrogant to understand the difference between ‘self defense’ and ‘bullying’.
I don’t own a gun….but if I didn’t have young children around me I probably would consider it – things have changed in good ol Canada…..just like they have where you are!
@ mrg3105:
Your understanding of firearms and their efficacy borders on either gross naivety or gross ignorance in your case probably both…..

My Father’s law partner , Goldstein, was almost killed [ in a plane crash in New Guinea ]defend your Aussie backside. Yes, he was armed.
mrg3105 Said:
Yes Darlin, I not only have read it, but I sleep with it by my side every night.
honeybee Said:
The critical turning point in the Pacific was at Midway, decided by plane-totin’ Yanks, not gun totin’. There the US forces fought to prevent the Japanese to gain a base for bombing Hawaii.
At Guadalcanal “The Allied plan to invade the southern Solomons was conceived by U.S. Admiral Ernest King, Commander in Chief, United States Fleet. He proposed the offensive to deny the use of the islands by the Japanese as bases to threaten the supply routes between the United States and Australia and to use them as starting points.”
The actual threat of invasion to Australia was from Port Moresby in New Guinea, and the rout to that was over the Kokoda Trail, something Americans don’t know anything about because there weren’t any American troops there. Autralian troops, initially Citizen Militia (your National Guard) held them up until troops recently arrived from North Africa were moved into line and counter-attacked.
The British Commonwealth had been fighting the Germans since September 1939, so they were a little stretched, what with the Blitz and trying to prevent Germany capturing Saudi oilfields if they broke throughthe Suez. As I recall Washington DC never got a scratch, and the Mexicans didn’t try to retake the Texas oil fields either.
In any case, people that actually know about military think about logistics first, and not guns. The only reason the United States was able to fight the Japanese in the Pacific is because the very small Australian population offered the theatre logistic support to the US troops that arrived, and not a little military participation. One of three invasion corps at LAYTE GULF was Australian.
Take a trip to Ft Hood some day, and walk around the 1st Cavalry Division Museum. It was one of the divisions in Australia during the Pacific War.
