  1. Israeli government must deconstruct so God can build it back right. Israel, you can go easy or kicking and screaming… but you will go into the future.

  3. JERUSALEM—Israel’s Parliament passed a divisive judicial overhaul, defying months of protests and plunging the country further into a political crisis that has exposed rifts over its identity and raised fears about its national security.

The law’s passage on Monday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition—without any opposition support—marks a pivotal juncture for Israeli society, setting up a potential showdown with the country’s Supreme Court, the institution whose power the law was designed to curb. It presents a decisive moment for thousands of military reservists who have said they would quit and the business, union leaders and medical professionals who have threatened mass work stoppages.

And it could complicate Israel’s relationship with the U.S. and other allies, who have long considered it the only full-fledged democracy in the Middle East. President Biden took the unusual step of calling on Netanyahu to compromise before passing the legislation. The White House released a statement calling the bill’s passage “unfortunate.”

  4. Already a petition to the Supreme Court has been presented that government abused its authority in passing today’s legislation.

Some notable Israelis I know have brought up the question will the Supreme Court rule the Law against the Reasonableness test as unreasonable?

I think it is a real possibility and then we are in for major constitutional crisis and possible revolt if the elected government ignores them.

I hope the differing sides do not keep walking to the edge of the cliff and fall into the sea. This victory of passing a law maybe the beginning of the end of the Modern State of Israel. The Arabs could not do it but the Jews appear hell bent on doing it to themselves.

The only things that may save Israel is if the Arabs or Iranians get stupid and the Jews band together to save our own behinds.
