Canada is now offering “a steady diet of Hamas and Hezbollah propaganda” via the new Free Palestine TV. Recall Canada’s sweeping censorship bills, C-11 and C-36, in which Trudeau labeled uncensored speech “destabilizing.” In fact, Trudeau’s own appointee, Senator David Richards, referenced Trudeau’s Online Censorship Bill as “Stalinesque,” and described it as “an Orwellian attempt to force individuals to comply with government messaging.” The online streaming bill, which finally passed in April, even targeted platforms such as Netflix, YouTube and TikTok.
The most important question is what constitutes “approved government messaging?” For starters, anyone knows that the Trudeau government would immediately crack down on any messaging that its go-to organization, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, (NCCM) deems to be “Islamophobic.” But what about a broadcast online that smears Jews and Israel and promotes jihad terror, that was founded by a Canadian Muslim known for vulgar expressions of antisemitism and incitement? Would he be subject to censorship under Canada’s broadcast standards and potential charges under Canada’s hate laws? In the report: “Established in Canada, Supported by U.S. and European Radicals,” by Sam Westrop, Focus on Western Islamism, January 11, 2024:
A television station established by a global coalition of terror activists is operating and fundraising in Canada, assisted by a global coalition of radical activists and violent extremists from designated terrorist organizations.
Established in the wake of the October 7th attacks, Free Palestine TV (FPTV) offers a steady diet of Hamas and Hezbollah propaganda. Its broadcasts are consistently extreme, and its social media channels comprise video clips of terrorist acts and propaganda messaging provided directly by terror groups, as well as posts glorifying the killing of Israelis.
FPTV was established by terror-activists, and serves to promote designated terror groups’ interests. As FPTV’s director stated in November, “We built live broadcasting units to go from the front in South Lebanon, with North Palestine, and bring in journalists from inside Palestine to give us updates.” FPTV was set up, he explains, “to translate the speeches of all the resistance leadership, and as they happen, all their videos of their operations that they’re releasing on a daily basis, and to air it on the internet.”
The director in question is Laith Marouf….
Many will remember Laith Marouf as a past Trudeau government diversity hire who caused upheaval with his vulgar antisemitic tweets. He said that his motto was “Life is too short for shoes with laces, or for entertaining Jewish White Supremacists with anything but a bullet to the head.” In another, he refers to so-called “Jewish White Supremacists” as “loud mouthed bags of human feces,” adding that if Palestine is “liberated,” they will “return to being low voiced b*tches of their Christian/Secular White Supremacist Masters.”
Marouf’s tweets prompted this reaction from the Canadian Center For Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA):
The Canadian Heritage Department funded the Community Media Advocacy Centre (CMAC) in order to combat hate. Yet its senior consultant, Laith Marouf, openly stated the most heinous hatred against Jews.
It turned out that Canada’s Diversity Minister, Ahmed Hussen, wasn’t just warned about Marouf’s obscenely antisemitic tweets, but that Hussen knew about the tweets a full month before the controversy erupted, yet he chose not to cut funding. The incident prompted the Conservative Party of Canada to publish a statement on its website HERE.
Laith Marouf now, as director of Free Palestine TV, proudly states on his website that his new venture was “launched with the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Flood.” That is the term Palestinian jihadis and their supporters use to refer to Hamas’ savage rampage against Israeli citizens. Also on his website is this:
FPTV’s goal is to support the resistance from a media standpoint and to incite free peoples to move and fight Zionism and imperialism wherever they exist, through effective demonstrations and protest movements that go so far as to close military factories, block roads and ports, and sit-ins to paralyze global support for the Zionist entity.
Along with his foreign partners, and a financial campaign to raise money for Free Palestine TV, the outlet has already boasted about broadcasting a live English interpretation of Hizballah leader Hasan Nasrallah’s speech on January 3.
Under Canada’s strict hate laws and the nose of a censorship-happy government, Laith Marouf is free to spread jaw-dropping antisemitism and rally support for terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hizballah.
Where are the Canadian farmers and truckers?
Liberal Jews, the useful idiots of the national and international left!
In case you didn’t notice, the Anglo countries now resemble the Weimar Republic before Nazi takeover, except this time the takeover will be by the Muslims and others with similar “love” for the Jews.
90 years ago the West’s hope of doing away with Jews was with the Germans, this time it is with the Arabs.
Focus on Israel and get out of the Diaspora before it’s too late and before Israel gives away more land.
Getting indignant about these people’s behavior and staying and “fighting antisemitism [of the 8 billion]” is useless and pointless.
I have a dream – NBN getting several thousand aliyah applications A DAY!
My guess is that if you call them nasty names too, YOU will be arrested!
The only bags of feces are this marxist antisemite Laith Marouf along with the pro-hamas protersters. The western countries better get control of our borders,
