PM said to feel Indyk was unfair to Israel, ‘won’t ever work with him again’
US: Peace team still in place despite Indyk’s departure
No plans to find permanent replacement for special envoy but US still engaging Israel and Palestinians to renew talks, says State Department

OOhhh have I a sweet tooth, I’ll bring pecans and make Pecan Pie with maple sugar.
honeybee Said:
If you googled for translation (beaver tails)… It is not to be taken literally.
It is kind of a doughnut (with maple syrup of course… 🙂 ) that has this shape..
And btw,, we also have an actual beaver dam a few hundred yards downstream… Amazingly clever little creatures
the phoenix Said:
Say what ????????
honeybee Said:
That would be great!
After you finish a day’s painting and i finish a rearranging the boulders (thank you archimedes… 🙂 ) I could treat you to a great dessert, typical to here called “queue de castor”. It is really delicious!
@ the phoenix:
You have a creek????? Neat. I am spending the summer with you, painting wooded landscapes instead of deserts.
@ honeybee:
Dear hb,
There is only SO MANY TIMES one can say essentially, over and over the same thing. It seems, that the only outrage present , is that of those of us that comment here on IP. While where it REALLY matters, in Israel, a very substantial portion of the population seems to be taking sides with the enemy, the GOI seems to be more preoccupied with how to stay in power than to protect the citizens that have put them into office, and overall ‘to look good’.
This whole friggin’ restraint, is nothing short of insane!!!!!!!!!!
…
It is time to go back, and start moving boulders (changing the landscaping of the creek) …
A more positive way to blow off steam!
🙁
LtCol Howard Said:
So what’s new ??????? Have you seen any Jewish politician or organization even mention the kidnapping of the Israeli schoolboys ????
@ LtCol Howard:
This may well be so.
However, the policy of holding Pollard as a bargaining chip had already been bluntly advocated by Dennis Ross (w/ Indyk, a fellow & co-founder of the Washington Institute) long before Obama entered the White House
— in Ross’ 2004 memoir of the failed Oslo-Camp David talks, which collapsed in 2000, The Missing Peace: The Inside Story of the Fight for Middle East Peace (Farrar, Straus, and Giroux).
OBSERVATIONS:
It was Martin Indyk that urged the Obama administration not to release Jonathan Pollard but rather to continue hold him as a bargaining chip (hostage) in exchange for Israel releasing additional Palestinian terrorist murderers. This makes it public that Jonathan Pollard is a political prisoner in the Soviet tradition. Where is the outrage of the American civil rights left? Where is the outrage of American Jews?
Martin Indyk’s assignment was not to broker peace but to bring Israel “to heel”. Indyk’s success was to be measured by the amount of blood and concessions he could extort from Israel.
It is good for the United States, for Israel, and for regional peace that he is gone. Unfortunately, he will still be in Washington where he will still exercise a great amount influence on the current anti-Israel US administration and the anti-Israel US State Department
Peace team…another waste of time and money. Dennis Ross knew what was up when he left, so they bring in this character, Indyk. Anything involving Indyk was a non-starter from the beginning.
