Brigitte Gabriel fights for what is right in the world. She is not a bystander who watches history go by as different religions are targeted.
The United Nations has been a place of Jew hatred and Israel hatred. Resolution after resolution has been passed attacking the Jewish state. Reports have criticized Israel – but they are false. So many other world problems are ignored because the UN is obsessed with condemning Israel for nothing. Christians are being slaughtered throughout the Muslim world. Terrorists are murdering Jews. And the UN talks about Israel’s “war crimes.”
But Brigitte Gabriel got up at the UN and addressed antisemitism in a way that many others will not. Her speech is honest, clear, and needs to be heard by all. Standing up for Jews and defending Israel is not easy to do in front of the organization that rejects it too often. She says in her speech, “To deny the connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is antisemitism in its purest form.” Yet so many DO deny it.
The World Denies the Truth
The world denies a lot of truths about the Jewish people. Gabriel addresses many important points in her speech. She brings the facts. She tries to tell the world what Hamas does and how the world falls for it. Israel is blamed, but Hamas is at fault. What will the world’s response be to her powerful speech? Will she help them see the truth?
If they can’t see the truth after hearing her speech, we are in trouble.
Fair enough, but my comment was referring to, May I add, thatBrigitte spoke eloquently, and decisively, and I hope she is true to her convictions, as I read about her plight in Lebanon, and how she had her parents buried in the,”avenue of the righteous, next to my personal reluctant in the beginning hero, Schindler!” However, as I believe you like me, have a great disdain for nahming,”Arabs, especially of the Muslim belief,”Palestinians.”
@ Tov:
I think to Hadrian they were “Hebraeorum”…(we would say) “Judeans”. I don’t think the term “Jews” came about until a while after Hadrian did his dirty work there.
Maybe Edger, however she uses the,”Palestinian’s”, “ Who are they, according to Emperor Hadrian, they are Jews! To me, Unacceptable!
A wonderful speech, but not a recent one. Brigitte Gabriel delivered it at a UN “Symposium on anti-Semitism” in 2014.
What branch of the United Nations is Brigitte addressing? The General Assembly? The Human Rights Commission? The UN is a very big organization with many branches and bureaus, commissions, etc. Can anyone provide me with this information.
Absolutely first class A1. …She went into everything with much vim and vigour, which helped put the historical points over, the best I’ve ever heard. Her directness and passion are impossible to describe, and gives pause to wonder why Jews and others who iterate the same points, do so with “political correctness” …as if worrying about how they look on TV. They should all get this video and use if to show them how to represent Israel. . I didn’t see her look down at any notes…she faced the audience almost as if attacking them. And she got much applause quite a few times….despite themselves.
Danon’s “viral” speech at the UN was a tabby-cat” by comparison, Of mediocre composition, he read it all..which takes away -for me anyway- most of it’s effect. It was a monotone, and contained more than 1 historical error.
If I had any influence I would bestow Israeli citizenship on her, and send HER to the United Nations.
Where I am I am unable to open YouTube and wish there was a text rendition of her speech. Notwithstanding that, due to the forum where she made the speech, her words were, as Bob Dylan would say, blowing in the wind, same as Danon’s address about the biblical roots for Israel.
