Give terror no quarter, Mike sez at Gaza border

BY MICHAEL SAUL, DAILY NEWS

SDEROT, ISRAEL – Standing less than a mile from the Gaza Strip, a defiant Mayor Bloomberg said yesterday this town symbolizes to the world why “we can never negotiate with terrorists.”

“These are people who are being attacked every day and they have [been] for years – they live in a place where they want to be free to build something for themselves, for their country, for their children, and, sadly, there are people just on the other side of that valley who shoot missiles at them, and these missiles kill,” Bloomberg said.

He held a photo of a 17-year-old Israeli girl, Ayala Abukasis, one of 10 people killed in Israel as a result of rocket attacks since June 2004. Roughly half of these fatal attacks occurred in Sderot.
