The Bayit Yehudi party and National Union signed a merger agreement on Thursday night.
The two parties agreed to run together in a joint list in the upcoming Knesset April 9 elections.
Under the agreement, former IDF Chief Rabbi Rafi Peretz will head the joint list. Both parties will receive an equal number of mandates.
There is also a chance the list may also join forces with Otzma Yehudit and former Shas party leader Eli Yishai as well, according to a report published on the Hebrew-language 0404 military news site.
I good first step. Nut now they need to bring in the other right wing parties ASAP, as the deadline jor registering joint lists is rapidly approaching.
Since Jewish Home and the National Union ran of the same slate in the last election, it shouldn’t have taken them this long to agree on a joint list for this election.
