AYN REAGAN WAS KILLED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT LAST WEEK

It gives me great pain to have to announce that our beloved Ayn Reagan was killed last week in an auto accident.

She will be sorely missed.

Bill Narvey was so advised yesterday by her sister.

  1. A man walks into a bar and sits beside a drunk. Presently he takes out a miniture live pianist, about 12″ tall, and dressed in tails from one pocket and then a miniture piano from the other pocket. The pianist begins to play beautiful music.

The drunk couldn’t believe his eys as he watched and listened in amazement. Finally he asked where the man got them from. The man said he summoned a genie who granted him one wish. Naturally the drunk asked if he could summon the genie so that he too could have one wish also.

Sure enough the genie was summoned and asked what the wish was. The drunk all excited blurted out “A thousand bucks”. Quick as you could say sesame there was a thousand ducks flying around. In shock and disbelief the drunk said “Ducks? I ordered bucks.”

The man who summoned the genie said “And do you think I ordered a 12” pianist?

  2. Here is my jokes to kick off ‘Honor Ayn Day”.

He was so narrow-minded that he could see through a keyhole with both eyes.

They tortured us in tee-pees, the pain was in tents.

You are in a life raft with a Rabbi, a Minster and a Priest. The oxygen is running out. There are only enough parachutes for three of you. You check your pockets, you find a candy bar, a flash light and a map of Cleveland. What was the conductors name?

(hint-this was paraphrased from the book of stupid questions)

    Thinking of you, dear Ayn.

  3. Dear Joy,

As you may have noticed, we have dedicated Sunday, tomorrow, as the day to honor Ayn. She loved to tell jokes, so we have decided to tell jokes in her honor.

However, we would all love, more than anything to know more about this women with the wicked sense of humor.

She, not knowing that her days were going to be cut short, gave us a little information, but not much. We would really like to know more about this women that we all mourn.

If you would be so kind, tell us about the person that we all knew as Ayn. It would be greatly appreciated.

Love, hugs and much regret, SarahSue

  4. Joy
Thankyou for sharing. And thank you for that anecdote about singing in the car and the type of man your father was.

It would be appreciated if you could tell us more about the woman we came to love. Any eulogies or obits around that could be posted?

  5. Dear Joy,

I am so saddened to have learned about the loss of your beloved sister. I gained so much joy and insight from reading her comments here on a regular basis. I feel a tremendous loss, so I can’t even begin to image how this is for her family and others who knew her beyond the confines of web postings. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

    “Fuck the Anti-Semites,” indeed.

  6. Dear Israpundit,

Thank you all for your kind words about my sister, who you knew as Ayn Reagan. These heartwarming sentiments help dealing with the loss more than you can ever know. I am glad you liked her as much as she liked you. I especially want to thank Ted and Jeff for their concern.

You certainly have a wonderful website here. It is much needed, especially during these sick times when the world is crazier than usual with Jew hatred. I am thrilled to see that you are fighting back. When we were little kids and would take long car rides, instead of singing “99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall” our Dad would have us scream “Fuck The Anti-Semites”! It always made us giggle, and it had a lasting effect. My two sisters and I grew up to be ardent Zionists.

Thanks again so much for your generous sentiments. Reading your comments provided a nice break from the crying.

    Sincerely,

    Joy Bernstein

  7. This news is very sad. Ayn Reagan was so funny and I loved reading her and yamit82 banter back and forth. She softened your edge yamit82 without changing the message. Life is truly fragile and I pray she is at peace. This is so shocking because it was truly a terrible tragedy. I pray for her family that they will know she touched the lives of so many people in a positive way.

  8. Felix I have insulted you intentionally in the past but not this time? Where is the insult. Under the circumstances I didn’t think your remarks appropriate nor the dry unemotional context you used.

It seems to me that you are giving us an ultimatum your way or the highway. We,or for most of us it can never be your way, although much of what you have to say rings of no little truth. Know this; that in most cases it is always the context of what your propose and have to say rather than the factual truth in what you say.

I will not hold you to your threat to leave us and hope you reconsider.

  9. Look Ted

As always you understate but the insult to me is implicit

The dhimmification of America is the most serious issue that is faced in the world with Obama leading the way. When I say that is the best thing that Ayn Reagan did in fighting against that where is the problem? So tell me then Ted Belman you smart man what is the better thing that she did?

What you people show continually on Israpundit is that you operate as a tight clique and you will never operate inside a United Front.

I have huge differences with all on Israpundit but I defend everybody here against the common enemy.

Your comment Ted and your comment Yamit82 is very important in the historical sense because it shows that there will be no unity possible with you.

On that understanding and in response to the huge insult to me implicit in your remarks I will NEVER communicate Ted with your site again, nor with you.

Yamit82 write what you wish but what you write will not interest me nor will I be reading it.

Ayn’s unique sense of humour and sharp intellect was one of a kind. A truly tragic loss.

Ted did you let our friend HP in by choice or oversight?

Ted did you let Peskin in by choice or oversight?

  12. What an empty feeling.

We go through life and we know people close us will leave this life and no longer be with us. We as children expect to bury our parents and older relatives, we prepare for it. What hurts more is parents burying their children and relatives and friends taken unexpectedly.

Ayn was taken from us unexpectedly. It really hurts.

Although none of us to best my knowledge knew her personally she made you feel like she was your best friend and or neighbor you wish you had.

You enjoyed her comments, she was smart and witty and she was fighter for the Jewish people and Israel.
The special relationship, Ayn and Uncle Nahum, they shared a lot in common.

We all I am sure are angry, Ayn was taken from us and we didn’t get a chance to say the things we wanted to say.

G-d what an empty feeling, what an empty feeling.

G-d tell her we love her and miss her, please.

  13. Ayn’s unique sense of humour and sharp intellect was one of a kind. A truly tragic loss.

  14. Send my condolences to her family as well.

I hope her family knows how much she meant to the people on this blog. I, for one, went out of my way to read her postings.

So did I. Besides her sense of humor, her passionate support for Israel and the Jewish people, I’ll also miss the banter between Ayn and Yamit.

  15. I hope her family knows how much she meant to the people on this blog. I, for one, went out of my way to read her postings. So many times she made me laugh out loud. Wit and intelligence like hers is very special indeed.

  16. This is very sad indeed. Although I haven’t posted in almost a year, I have been following the comments on Israpundit. Ayn is what I would call a,”True Jew.” She exemplified many of the values of being Jewish in her comments. She will truly be missed.

  17. I don’t know Ayn’s real name. I had been corresponding with Ayn over the last 4 – 5 months since she made contact with me. I have also been e mailing her my Jewish – Israel News & Views articles, the last sent out to her and my list on June 1/10.

Her sister using Ayn’s e mail account wrote me June 2, to advise me of this very upsetting news, but did not mention Ayn’s real name.

I wrote back to extend my sincere condolences, however have not received a reply. Ted advised me he was going to be writing to Ayn’s e mail address to extend condolences. Perhaps he has received a reply and can advise further on the true identity of Ayn Reagan, Alava Sholem.

  18. Felix we know you didn’t like her and under those circumstances it would have been better to just shut up and say nothing rather than what you wrote.

When I get over my real emotional upset of anyn’s loss, I will let you know how I really feel about you and your comment.

  19. Ayn Reagan´s death is bad and sad news.

She is representative of something which is of historical importance and is connected to the election of Obama who represents a particular period of the crisis of the world capitalist system

    Froman article I wrote today:

These very crafty Arabs and Islamists grasped the situation like greased lightning while it took the staid Israelis much longer to catch on.

Netanyahu and barak kept sending cards to the Obama team but it was of no use. The game had changed.

The news was taken as manna from heaven by the already Dhimmified Europeans powers, with Russia and China, and the Obama election meant that the US was in great danger of becoming dhimmies as well.

    Except for one thing:

The ordinary American people still support Israel, do not like terrorists and see Islam for what it truly is.

That is the contradiction in the Obama team, they want to destroy Israel, they ARE dhimmies, but they cannot carry the Americans and Israelis with them

The danger of Dhimmi Europe to Israel is immense. Look how NOBODY in the Media covers the way Hizbullah builds up its rocketry, under the very noses (perhaps guidance) of the Spanish Army”

Ayn did have principles in fighting against this dhimmification of America and that is the best thing she did

  20. Shy one need not be at the expense of the other. If anyone would like to contribute to any charity or worthy cause in memory of ayn or ( I hope we will shortly know her real name) it need not be to the exclusion of what we do or say here. This site is now ours to express each in their own way how we would like to remember ayn. Your suggestion need not be mutually exclusive of any other.

I like the idea of doing it together.

    Sarahsue I’m with you.

  21. Sarah and Ted, jokes are all good in their time but maybe we can humor others, rather than ourselves, in memory of Ayn.

How about Israpundit members joining together to contribute to an organization that cheers up children? How about Zichron Menachem or Aleh, as 2 out of dozens of possibilities?

  22. I knew Ayn as well as most on this site, through her snarky humor and support for Israel. She loved a good fight and fought those fights well. She did not suffer fools gladly and exposed them for what they were. Throughout her short time here, we could count on her to side with friends and expose enemies.

Two things she loved was sharing recipes and telling jokes. If we want to honor her, we should do something that she would enjoy.

I propose that we do this. Mourn for her until Sunday. Then do something she would get pleasure from…telling jokes. We should drag out our best and funniest jokes in her honor.

She would love it. A variation on an Irish wake.

I hope by Sunday I will be in a joke telling mood. Would all of you like to join me? Somehow, I think she would approve.

We should start our posts like this.

In honor of Ayn…There was this guy in a bar…

  23. We have lost a “mensch,” a caring human being.

Baruch Dayan HaEmet – though that is sometimes hard to say.

  24. I tried to explain how crestfallen I was the moment I saw Ted’s headline (but my comment didn’t come through on the system). Still feel the same way…

  25. Ted,
can you please extend my condolences to her entire family. He contributions and insights will be missed by all. May her family find comfort with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

  26. I was crushed from the moment I read Ted’s initial headline. Nobody can really fill her shoes…

  27. Having been busy over the last week and not checking as often, I didn’t realize her absence as ongoing until I started wondering about her this morning when I came to the page. It’s hard to see a person like her go when there are so many others breathing air that do not deserve to. Earlier, I commented on her wit and wisdom. She was brilliant, yes; but the greatest thing about her, and what I will remember her for, is that she was a good person. That’s something simple that doesn’t take the talent she had, but it is something rich that is becoming harder to find in the world we live in today.

  28. I noticed the concerned comments last week and visited today to see if she was back; my address line took me to the old site and when I saw her comments, I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I noticed the stale dates, logged on to the current site and read the devastating news. I haven’t been commenting on Israpundit recently and thus, only got to enjoy a couple of exchanges with her. The few posts I read reflected someone with great insight, keen wit, and an abiding love for Israel and the Jews (other than JINOs). It is a loss for our team and seems to have come at a pivotal moment in our history.

  29. I will contact her sister now that the shiva is over and see what I can learn and hopefully get copies any eulogies of obits.

We are a family here and I know that we have all suffered a great loss.

  30. What a brilliant lady, and what a major loss to this blog. I agree that a memorial article would be in order.

  31. Ron I am devastated and since she is gone I need to know who she really was, do you agree.

    Ted and narvey know.

  32. I feel I lost a long time friend. You know I was worried as Uncle previously indicated, not letting us know she would be away was out of character and that alone was frightening. The longer we didn’t hear from her the more worried I became and I was not alone.

If you commented along with her you had to love her.

    She will be sadly missed.

You know she is with G-d, a cheerleader for Israel.

  33. Ayn Reagan is now with the “Ayn Sof” – that’s Hebrew for the Eternal One. May she rest in eternal peace, and be a “melitzat yosher” — an advocate of the truth — on behalf of all Israel. To her family – know that she positively affected people she didn’t even know and we are all the better for it. She was somebody who, as they say in Hebrew, “ichpat lah” – she cared. What better epitaph could anyone ask for than that:
    Ayb Reagan – she cared.
Nay you, her family and friends, be comforted among all the other grieving ones of Zion and Jerusalem.

  34. I am really shocked, may her memory be a blessing for the Holy People of Israel, and may we soon witness her revival together with all the Just of the House of Israel. evidently, G-d took her away only months before the Last War which is probably going to defold on Sukkot with the help of G-d.

  35. Narvey what was her real name it doesn’t matter to her anymore, How come they knew to contact you?

  36. I too will miss her wit and incisiveness. Her commitment to Israel and her righteousness underscored her humanity.
