I think Caroline’s suggestions about challenging the US position on Israel is an important one to follow. With all due respect to Amb. Friedman, the Rep congress should push the administration on the policy which they are pursuing in Israel. It doesn’t, and shouldn’t, need to be a major campaign issue, but the daylight between the Dems’ demands on Israel and Israel’s need to actually fight this war to its conclusion should be scrutinized, questioned, and highlighted under Congressional review. Congress has the power of the purse, and whereas the presidency has control of foreign policy, Congress has a duty to question the use of funds which are being spent in support of a Jihadi terrorist organization such as Hamas, and the PA. Again, it doesn’t need to be a central theme of the election for Congress to do their job and demand accountability from the White house.
Also the recent move by the Uniparty loyalist Lindsey Gramham in joining the White House’s call for restraint by Israel was deeply disturbing to hear when the exact opposite should be the focus and demand of the Reps.
