  1. Friedman is right. The objectives of the pro-Hanoi forces in the succession of wars that ravaged Vietnam between 1940 and 1975 did not have much in common with those of the pro-Iran forces in theGaza war of today. And the
objectives of the anti-war demonstrators in the United States on college campuses between 1967 and 1975 were different from the goals of the students demonstrating against Israel and for Hamas on college campuses today.

As Ambassidor Friedman pointed out the Vietnam War era anti-war demonstrators were afraid that they would be drafted into the army to fight a war 12,OOO miles from America’s East Coast, and 6,000 miles even from the westernmost outpost of the United States, Hawaii, when they didn’t believe that this war was needed to protect the United States from invasion or to achieve any other worthy goal, Their thinking was, why should I have to die in an unnecessary, pointless war? But the student and non-student demonstrators on today’s college campuses are in no danger of being drafted to fight anywhere. Their motives are not to avoid of being packed off to fight in a foreign war, but rather to vent their hatred of Israel and Jews, and also perhaps to be paid by the waelthy antisemitic financiers who are bankrolloing the demonstrations and rioters. Notable among these are George and Alex Soros, who are typical antisemitic, assimilationist Jews.

Enough for now. But I will have more to say about this.
