  1. He’s been weasling on BHO and Iran from his first term. Liberal Jews need their own Zionist hero to make them feel better about abandoning Israel.

  2. What he said on his 6-week Sirius-XM pilot was, simply, that he would repudiate his support for BHO were the Iran-Capitulation to transpire; it did, but he didn’t [as anticipated].

  3. @ Dandaman:
…which is why, invoking Alinsky-tactics, he must be isolated and condemned unambiguously, consistently, vigorously and definitively.

  4. Dersh told me on Sirius-XM Radio [about a year ago, now, on #2 of 6 “Debate Dershowitz” Sunday-shows, 10-noon] that he would only oppose BHO if he “gave away Iran”; BHO most decidedly has [and continues to do so], but Dersh refuses to apologize for his prior support for BHO [and his lib policies], failing to admit error [lest he suffer insufferable ego-damage].

In a nut shell, exactly right.

  5. @ dove:
I actually didn’t miss your point.

The man is manipulative, so his faux-endorsement for Eretz Yisrael comes @ an unacceptable price, and all truth-tellers should ensure that no one is captivated by his efforts to play-two-ends-against-the-middle.

I called-him-out @ Penn a few years ago, and more recent public/private contacts have confirmed how dangerous it is to rely upon his ultimate rationalization [“You pro-Israelis need a Dem such as myself to help you to argue your points.”] when it is accompanied by an apologist’s posture.

Witness my most recent encounter with him in Cherry Hill, as opposition to the JCPOA was congealing, and he denied the ability to enjoin BHO from implementing it [despite my multiple op-eds detailing how to do so]; he was dismissive in front of ~300 people, absent an explanation for his “NIH”-based posture.

[*] – “NIH” = “Not Invented Here” [not “National Institutes of Health”] as one points to one’s head when someone else promulgates an idea that hadn’t first been articulated by the perpetrator; Dersh’s ego is the origin of all his comments, as it has been for decades, and he cannot be trusted.

  6. @ rsklaroff:

Your missing my point. If someone tuned into this 4 minute speech for the first time it may have an impact, especially if they didn’t know anything about Dersh. I actually like watching Dersh squirm as he spends some time and money defending the Jewish cause….

  7. @ dove:
Dersh presents a skewed version of a pro-Israel stance; he is devious, dangerous, and degrading to anyone perceived as a threat.

  8. @ rsklaroff:

We don’t have many people out there making a case for Israel – good, bad or indifferent. Like I said, I may not agree with all his choices and decisions but he is making a case for Israel with some people. Just saying…….

  9. @ dove: You cite a phenomenon that is notoriously transient, for Dems invariably relapse; note AIPAC’s support this year for libs who supported the JCPOA last year. He has, for decades, provided succor for those who should stridently have been educated as to the evil postures of Dems [going back to the ’90’s, at least]. I have personal interactions that I could cite with that apologist for anti-Semitism…starting with how he would preclude Jews from living in Judea Samaria, as if he should channel the desire that any place on earth [even run by Jews!] should be Juden-Rein.

  10. This 4 minutes segment was good. I have actually met people who were former anti-semites who now publically defend and support Israel and Jews because of a book they read by Dersh.

I may not agree with all his choices and decisions but some people are listening.

  11. Dersh is an unabashed self-promoter and a phony “defender” of Israel imposter. After his two-time endorsement of BHO (never rescinded), the only people he’s fooling now are Jews who still hide under their beds, waiting for the Cossacks to pass.
