“Actually, because of our Hillel students’’ amazing pre-Israel Apartheid week activities, the anti-Israel groups at UBC, SFU and UVIC cancelled their Israel Apartheid Weeks this year. We are the only Hillel’s in Canada to have achieved this (as far as I know).
We had a strategy of taking back the language, and devised ‘Israel-A-Party Week’. It was a huge success.
We are winning the war on our campuses, slowly, but surely.”
Laura, I’m sorry but I disagree.
I would not say “the tide is turning”. I would say it is a positive occurrence, nothing more. The “tide” in fact is a tidal wave in comparison to previous years, sweeping anti-Zionist/anti-Semitic IAW into more venues than ever before.
I’m glad to see the tide is turning.
