White House exploring how to force Netanyahu out – report

Peloni:  The attempts by the US to destroy Bibi will only result in making Bibi more popular with the Israeli people.  While the US sees Bibi as the obstacle to their Iranian integration program, they ignore the fact that Bibi is actually pursuing policies which the Israeli people want.

Growing frustration with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s handling of the ongoing war in Gaza has led US officials to explore what can be done to force the collapse of his government, according to an unconfirmed US news report.

An Israeli expert who frequently consults for US officials is quoted by New York Magazine as saying, “I have been asked by a serious administration figure what it is that will force the Netanyahu coalition to collapse. They were interested in the mechanics, what can we demand which will collapse his coalition.”

A US expert quoted in the reports says that White House realizes that “Netanyahu is in a corner of his own making. He has no room to maneuver. He is screwing us. The politics of this have to completely change, and I think time is running out.”

The report comes hours after the release of a hard-hitting MSNBC interview with US President Joe Biden, in which he highlighted deep concerns in Washington over civilian deaths in Gaza, asserted that Netanyahu is doing more harm than good to Israel and its interests, and called the planned IDF operation in southern Gaza’s Rafah a “red line.”

  1. dreuveni… Absolutely right. Greed both for money and power is the motivating force for the “Biden Administration”.
But let’s not forget, as was discussed here a short time ago, that Israel must achieve military independence… I’m sure the Israelis are working hard to do this, and I’m equally sure they won’t broadcast it to the world…

  2. As long as the US believe that they can screw us, they will make an effort to do so. They have lost sight of their real aim – to live in peace with the rest of the world. However, those pulling the strings do not share that aim since it doesn’t make them richer, so follow the money and everything they do makes sense including stealing the elections, immigrating millions of “illegals”, imposing COVID treatment whether needed or not, insisting on LGBT quotas and so on.

  3. @Sebastien
Yes, the belief that Israel is an American colony is something which the US must be disabused of believing. It will certainly be among the greatest advantages gained from the current crisis, where America understands that Israel is a sovereign nation, even as an ally, which is deserving of respect and deference of her own interests.

  4. “Don’t threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a proud Jew with 3,700 years of civilized history. Nobody came to our aid when we were dying in the gas chambers and ovens. Nobody came to our aid when we were striving to create our country. We paid for it. We fought for it. We died for it. We will stand by our principles. We will defend them. And, when necessary, we will die for them again, with or without your aid.”

Or to put it in even starker terms, as Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben-Gurion, famously quipped:

“It does not matter what the goyim say, it only matters what the Jews do.”

  5. I love that. “He is screwing us” as if the country belongs to the O’Biden regime and hot the citizens of Israel who spoke at the ballot box and in many other ways since, much less the entire Jewish people whose state it is. Such shameless narcissism. Israel is not a colonial possession.
