Rabbi Herzog: The Brother’s Struggle Part One

The Brothers’ Struggle: Secrets of What’s Happening in the Palaces of the Bani Zayed, Part One

?? There is a hidden struggle for power in the UAE among the sons of the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, and a hidden conflict against the Al Maktoum family, rulers of Dubai, especially His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.

?? The key figures in this struggle are His Excellency Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed; and His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed.

?? Mohammed bin Zayed is a man with ambitions to become an emperor. He was born a billionaire, seeking self-fulfillment. The one who has capitalized on Mohammed bin Zayed’s ambitions, as I have mentioned multiple times, is the Palestinian politician Mohammed Dahlan, an advisor to the UAE’s president, who manipulates the president as if he were a mere toy.

?? There is a saying about those who tell a lie until they believe it, and unfortunately, this applies to the UAE, especially to Abu Dhabi. Mohammed bin Zayed believes he can rule the world as the president of a wealthy oil state.

?? This is incorrect, Your Excellency Mohammed bin Zayed. Your state’s wealth cannot compare to that of the United States, for instance, or even to Russia, China, or Israel, nor to the wealth of Jews around the world. It would have been better for you to know your limits and enjoy what you have.

?? Since the illness of the late President Khalifa bin Zayed, Mohammed bin Zayed has controlled the country. There are many unresolved questions about Khalifa bin Zayed’s sudden illness. His desire to control the country was accepted by some of his brothers, but not by others. In 2010, one of his brothers tragically died in a plane accident. Of course, the incident was fate, but this brother was also one of those who opposed the rule of President Mohammed bin Zayed.

?? Mohammed bin Zayed’s brothers feel concerned, especially as he started interfering in neighboring countries and spending money, creating problems in his belief that he could become the region’s emperor and expand his kingdom. We’ve seen what the UAE has done in Yemen, Sudan, Libya, Egypt, and even Africa. Under the rule of President Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE behaves like a cat acting as if it were a pride of lions. When you ask this cat why it behaves this way, it responds, “I have the money to back it up.”

?? Mohammed bin Zayed’s brothers fear that the president’s recklessness will lead to them losing power, draining their funds, and confronting very powerful adversaries. President Mohammed bin Zayed has clashed with three powerful and capable adversaries who could dismantle the UAE itself: the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Israel, and the American deep state.

?? President Mohammed bin Zayed’s brothers are more realistic and intelligent than he is. They fear losing their rule due to the president’s recklessness, and at the same time, they see themselves as more capable of governing the state than he is—which is unfortunately true.

?? The main person qualified to govern the state, stabilize the UAE’s position, and end its problems is His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the president’s brother. Sheikh Mansour is a first-rate intelligence and statesman, well-regarded by the Americans, who are very pleased with him because he can accomplish tasks and live in balance without theatrics and acrobatics like those performed by President Mohammed.

?? President Mohammed knows that the Americans and others have their eyes on his brother Mansour, and he knows that Mansour could very well rule the UAE. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed wants his son to inherit the UAE after him, which makes Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed a threat to the future rule of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid. At the same time, President Mohammed bin Zayed knows that he cannot touch Sheikh Mansour because Sheikh Mansour is clever and knows how to protect himself well, with the backing of influential figures. If President Mohammed harms him, he will pay the price dearly.

?? The other, more neutral, figure who shares Sheikh Mansour’s ambitions and abilities to a large extent is Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, who is portrayed as the intelligence and security man of the UAE. But the truth is that he is more of a public relations figure; the real power, skill in management, and control over everything lie with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed. He has proven his competence and impressed everyone who has come to know him, be they Europeans, Americans, or Israelis.
