Yes, this is a fascinating discussion. Also, an extremely informative and revealing one. Apparently there were legal devices that were employed to hold up arms deliveries for four months. But the DoD had the authority to dispense with these legal divices whenever they wanted to, but didn’t. Abviously the USG was attempting to pressure Israel to accept an “immediate cease fire’ that would leave Hamas permanently as the rulers of Gaza, and prepare the way fro the so-called “two state solution” which would put Gaza, Judea and Samaria under a unified Fatah-Hamas-Islamic Jihad government, and expel the 500,000+ Jews resident in Judea , Samaria, and those parts of Jerusalem liberated by Israel in 1967
