US and ISRAELI JETS SHOT DOWN IRANIAN DRONES IN JORDANIAN AIR SPACE, JORDANIAN JETS DID NOT FIRE A SHOT REPORTS OF JORDANIAN AIR FORCE DOWNING DRONES OVER AMMAN ARE NOT TRUE
- Our Israeli and Western military sources confirmed to us this morning, that American jets downed Iranian drones over Jordan’s capital, Amman and Zarqa, Jordan’s second largest city last night. Israeli jets shot down dozens of Iranian drones en route to Jordan at the borders with Iraq. The Israeli Force broke into the Iraqi air space to confront those. At the same time, US owned and operated ground-to-air defense capabilities were used last night.
- The claims Jordanian jets had shot down an Israeli drone en route to Israel were triggered by a report generated by Reuters chief reporter in Jordan Suleiman Al-Khalidi. A Jordanian himself with dozens of his family members residing in Amman. Needless to say, Al Khalidi faces the Hashemite regime’s ruthless grip on any reports generated in Jordan. Regardless, Al Khalidi’s original report quotes “two regional security sources” as his references. While the term “regional” is very vague by itself, one has to be curious about why the Jordanian Air Force itself has not yet published any reports confirming the alleged incident.
- Historically, the Hashemite regime of Jordan has an acute habit of publicly glorifying little achievements as epic victories. Were Jordanian jets involved, how come the Hashemites are not celebrating it this time? All they have done so far is a mere statement by Jordan’s prime minister, a man known to be a symbolic facade with very little powers. This situation is similar in many ways to this example, in 2014, a least known Western researcher, who is a resident of Jordan, tweeted that Jordan’s king himself was piloting an F16 fighter jet to attack the Islamic State terror group in Syria. The king of Jordan has never been trained to fly an F16 and has never flown one. Nonetheless, the untruthful tweet took a life of its own and was shared even by Western celebrities. The imagination-rich tweetmaker apologized a month after his tweet. Nonetheless, his bogus story remains in circulation as of this day.
- Ironically, some in the Israeli media quickly adopted Al-Khalidi’s report. One journalist ran a piece praising Jordan’s air force, emphasizing how it had turned “from foe to an ally”. Others used the report to epmhasize the claim that Jordan’s king was “essential to both Israel and US in confronting Iran”. This could not be further from the truth. - Jordan’s king is not shy at all about his close ties to Iran. A crude example of this took place just a little over a month ago. While all Arab countries announced the beginning of Muslim fasting month of Ramadan at the exact date Sunni Saudi Arabia had, it was only Jordan’s regime that announced the beginning of the holy month at the time Iran had, a whole day after Saudi Arabia’s date. This is considered the ultimate violation of Islamic rules, which was viewed by Jordanians as making an entire nation miss a day of fasting just to appease Iran. While Jordanians took to social media to protest the move, the move was very symbolic of the king’s alliance with the Iranian axes in the region, which should come as no surprise given the king’s well-documented and self-confessed marriage to the Muslim Brotherhood. - It is time for the American and Israeli single-sided love affair to the hostile king. This king is the only foreign leader in America’s history who dared to attack Israel right from the White House’s podium, all-knowing he could get away with it. [youtube.com/watch?v=DR0VQp]. He is so close to Iran that he even states that in his own memoir, proudly posting a photo of him visiting Tehran and meeting the Ayatollah. It is safe to say this man has been recklessly gambling with Jordan’s long-term stability, compromising the balance of Arab Sunni states, ruthlessly lobbying against Israel, and above all his regime is not stable. He has become a very expensive liability for the US and Israel to sustain.
The demise of Abdullah’s regime is not is not unplausible. The US and Israel must not be caught off guard.

I have now read the far more “nuanced:” article about Israeli -Jordanian military cooperation during the Iranian blitz published by Ynetnews to be much more credible than the Times of Israel puff piece about Jordan. The author of the Ynet article explains that there was indeed military cooperation between Jordan and Israel to defeat the Iranian blitz. But the I-net report explains that this was a one-
time event based on a temporary confluence of Israeli and Jordanian interests concerning the threat posed to both countries by the Iranian blitz. I did not mean that there was a military alliance between the two countries.
Jordan, the ynet reporter explained , was concerned that one of the Iranian missiles might hit al-Aksa mosque, of which Jordan is the custodian inder the Israeli-Jordanian peace treaty. They were also upset that Tehran was funnelling aid to Syrian and Iraqi terrorist organizations that had sent their people into Jordan to escape Israeli and American bombing raids in Syria, Some of these terrorist factions had sunk deep roots in Jordan among the large Syrian and Iraqi exile communities there. They have all vowed to overthrow Abdullah.
And of course the Jordanians did not want any of the Iraqi missiles to land in populated areas of Jordan and cause casualties. That would undermine the legitimacy of the regime within Jordan. As a result, according to ynet, the Israeli and Jordanian air forces icooperated in shooting down th Iranian flying objects.
However, xthe Ynet artilce also stresses that this temporary cooperation, the relations between Jordan and Israel remain tense, Jordan continues to support Hamas and the PLO in their war against Israel, and Abdullah’s feelings towards Israel remain hostile.

I missed your comment while posting my own, but nicely explained. The Hashemites are our enemies, and any attempt to paint them otherwise is as ill advised as it is impossibly true.

To believe this, you would have to believe that the same Hashemite regime which is conducting a charm campaign to invalidate/justify the crimes of October 7 actively took a role in standing with Israel against Iran. This is the same regime which has been caught smuggling money and guns into Israel to slaughter Israeli’s on the street. Also, this is the same regime which setoff the coordinated 2021 War of Riots and Rockets with Hamas and the Israeli Arabs.
The addiction to supporting the Hashemites is part and parcel of the old conception. They are no more partners in peace with Israel than the Pals which they illegally unloaded on Israel when they committed the International Crime of withdrawing citizenship of the Pals, making them an Israeli problem. Hence we must recognize not only the harm which the Hashemites have done to Israel, but the harm which has been committed by those who would prefer to ignore these harms simply to maintain the status quo.
So when we are led to believe by “reports of” claims that Jordan came to aid Israel, we should use a bit of common sense and recognize that these reports are coming from the same people who would have us believe that the Judicial Reform was actually anti-democratic, and that Bibi is a tyrant fighting a war against the interest and support of the people.
Lipstick on a pig would be more convincing than the claims made by these ‘reports’.
I don’t consider the Times of Israel to be a reliable source. Their reporting on the Israel-Palestine conflict has been anti-Israeli and pro-Paestinian form many years. Their reporting has become more sympathetic to their own country and less sympathetic to the Palestinians after October 7. But I notice that in the last few weeks they have been reverting to their earlier position that Netanyahu, not Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas Hezbollah, etc. is the enemy. The anti-Netanyah demonstrations have dominated their coverage over the past few months. Also, demonizing of the :settlers:” and denouncing “settler violence” against the Palestinians. They were not even willing to report that that the brutal murder of the 14-year-old herdsman was a terrorist attack by Palestinians. At first they reported that the boy was only “missing” even after the Israeli police reported finding the body and obvious emvidence that he had been murdered. A day later they quoted “Palestinian sources” that the boy had been murdered by “settlers” in a “false flag” operation.
It would not supreise me , then. that TOA may also have a relationship with the Jordanian monarchy and invent non-existent military support for Israel during the present Iran-Israel hostilities. Israel has also released video clips of its own air defense defense shooting down “99 percent ” of the ncoming missiles. Neither Jordan nor any other country has claimed that they have shot down any Iranian missiles.

As for refusing the people’s demand to break ties with Israel, it would be suicide to do so, they depend on Israel’s protection, water exports/imports and much more.
So they benefit from Israel in exchange for keeping the Jordan R. border quiet, whilst all the while, as a true Blue Arab hating Israel and doing it’s best to show it, but keeping within bounds to avoid destruction.

King Abdullah has defied the more extreme popular demands, ignoring calls for Jordan to cut all ties with Israel and cancel the 1994 peace treaty. On the contrary, on the night of April 13-14, he acted decisively in the common interests of Jordan and Israel. The administration had earlier closed its airspace as a precaution against an Iranian strike across its border. That is exactly what happened when the massive Iranian drone and missile attack attempted to reach Israel by flying over Jordan.

I do not believe this article has any accuracy at all.
Numerous sources and credible ones spoke on Israeli TV that Jordan participated in downing drones that went over their territory.
Iran has been trying to take down the Monarchy by sneaking weapons into Jordan to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. They have created massive demonstrations bordering on riots to try and destabilize the King.
The King is opposed to Iran. He has seen what happened to Lebanon, Syria and Iraq when Iran gets their tentacles into a country.
