Prime Minister in a statement: I have red lines – we will not end the war, we will not remove the IDF from the Strip, and we will not release thousands of terrorists.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening released a video in which he made a statement regarding the talks to reach a deal for the release of the hostages in Gaza.
“There is a lot of noise in the media about the efforts to get more hostages released, so I want to make it clear: We are working on another plan for the release of our hostages, but I stress: Not at any cost,” Netanyahu said.
He added, “I have red lines, among them: We will not end the war, we will not remove the IDF from the Strip, and we will not release thousands of terrorists.”
“We are constantly working to free our hostages and to achieve the other goals of the war: The elimination of Hamas and the promise that Gaza will no longer pose a threat. We are working on all three together and we will not give up on any of them,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Netanyahu met with representatives of 18 families of hostages, for a highly charged meeting, in which he pledged to promote a deal, regardless of coalition considerations, Channel 12 reported.
According to the report, the families demanded that the Prime Minister accept a deal even at the expense of dismantling his coalition.
The Prime Minister replied to them: “If there is a deal that is good for Israel, for the return of the hostages and the realization of the goals of the war – I will do it…But if I think that the situation endangers Israel’s security or does not achieve the goals that we want – I won’t do it.”
The families also asked Netanyahu that the additional deal would not be done in stages like last time.
The Prime Minister did not go into details and said that “the return of the hostages must be carried out in stages, as part of any deal”.
Netanyahu is building his save-my-reputation plan to stay in power forever by making this impression that he has been doing the right thing and resisting all the wrong things, and it is not his fault, as he was under “unbearable pressure” (as usual) and fought ’til the end.
They agreed to create a Pal. state, I am positive that they evacuated 200,000 Jews to create a no-man’s land to give away to the Pals and Lebanon in exchange for the empty promises of peace, which they know will not come.
Netanyahu and the whole Knesset are boiling the frog slowly and putting everyone to sleep.
When Jews wake up, it will be too late, just like during WWII, and the next Holocaust will be MUCH more successful than the last one because there will be no one to fight our enemies for us, and we will be convinced that our worst enemy is our best friend and we will keep begging him to save us.
I guess Netanyahu is building his hostage release plan on the intransigence of the Palestinians. They simply cannot keep their trigger finger still, and each time they fire a rocket, that is a break in the cease-fire.
Just by the way, because everybody seems to have forgotten this, every single rocket fired indiscriminatingly into Israel is intended to cause deaths of Israelis or at least cause significant damage. Under normal circumstances, each single rocket firing should be brought up before the ICJ. Apart from highlighting the ongoing activity, it would keep the ICJ busy for years to come. Of course, the MSM would ignore these cases before the first of them was even discussed. However, if the court were to refuse to review any case, Israel should demand that the single nonsensical case against it be dropped.
