  1. Ted’s comments below are packed full of pertinent information. Each of us should slowly unpack and think through them.

Peloni said; “Whereas it is the US which has given, literally given, Iran billions of dollars to push its proxy war with Israel. This isn’t an accident, or an oversight. It is US policy. They even have an Iranian spy in the Pentagon with full Naval Intelligence clearance.”

I say, American policy is going to bring death and destruction to America.

Turkey is a dark anti-sematic Jew hating country. they also, shall soon reap what they have sown.

  2. @Bear

So the imperfect USA does do very good things for and with Israel.

American policy is not imperfect, it is simply hostile to Israel.

By hamstringing Israel with leveraged aid, the US is maintaining the viability of its true interest in the region, the Iranian crescent sans Hamas, but it should not need to be stated that this is not so good for Israel. The funds going to Iran with US authorization, have come with no benefit even to the US beyond supporting the policy of empowering Iran. You like to suggest this is just foolish errors on behalf of the US, but empowering Iran is simply US policy, and this has been ongoing for decades with the slight pause under Trump. Hamas has been funded by the US, the PA has been funded by the US and the Iranians have been funded by the US – and these are all terrorist organizations intent on the slaughter of Jews and the destruction of Israel. The TSS is a policy forced on Israel by the US for decades and which is still being pushed on Israel despite the complete violation of every aspect of the Oslo charade, again for decades. Again, the US is not imperfect, it is simply hostile to Israel. Failing to appreciate this fact and act accordingly is why the Siimchat Torah massacre took place, it is why Israel has not been allowed to neutralize Hezbollah, and it is why the Mullahs are now a part of the nuclear power club. None of this is a mistake, and it isn’t foolishness, but it has come at the cost of many, many dead Jews. It is ironic that Israel’s greatest allies are the American people, yet her greatest threat lies with enacted American policy which, once more, is absolutely hostile to Israel.

  3. Houtis are Iran’s Yemini allies (hence part of the Russian -Iranian alliance).

The USA has shot down missiles the Houtis shot against Israel.

Houtis captured an Israeli affiliated ship and the USA Navy rescued the crew and ship plus captured the Houtis pirates.

So the imperfect USA does do very good things for and with Israel. I know this is hard to take for USA hater’s and Putin/Russian lovers.

  4. This is a great summation of the reality. It is an important starting point in all consideration of that reality. You may not be a fan of Russia and that is your right but you have less right to LIE to us (about reality), when literally our lives depend on being aware of reality.

Curiously enough, Pollack seems oblivious to the series of defeats which America has been dealt over the past year, first in dislodging the American puppet at Bahkmut, which was quickly followed by the failed American sponsored coup from Prygozhin, and most recently and most importantly, the failure of the American sponsored Ukrainian Spring/Summer Offensive. Hence, Russia has very recently and significantly weakened the US image around the world while simultaneously strengthening its own position, with no need for such self defeating ploys as blowing up the Middle East.

  5. @Ted It’s a public relations stunt with a new tactical twist. The objective is to get Israel to piss off all these countries.

If these countries allow these vessels to fly under their flags, it seems to me this is an act of war. If they disavow them, it’s terrorism. The causus bellis of the ’56 war was Egypt’s blockading the port at Eilat as well as nationalizing the Suez Canal.

Israel has every right to sink them if need be.

…”the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries, “including anti-Zionist Jews.”

“…Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists, he said. Only 12 Turkish vessels will join the flotilla, he told Haber7….”

…“The Zionist regime seems to have no chance to repeat the Mavi Marmara incident,” the Turkish activist said. “The vessels sail under flags of the US, the UK, Luxembourg, Russian, Germany, Spain, Poland, and many other countries.” The activist noted that luxury boats will also join the flotilla and that participants from Europe and the USA will spend an average of $14,000 to join…

“Okçu said that the main objective of the operation would be to cause disruption in international waters off the Israeli coast to the maritime trade heading for the port of Ashdod, in order to interrupt the supply of goods to Israel for a week or even up to 10 days.”

  6. The Deep State is to blame for the Ukainian debacle, not Russia. Aside from the loss of 500,000 lives in Ukraine, Russia who could have remained neutral, was forced to seek allies in China and Iran. I blame the deep state for this consequesce. It didn’t have to be.. Now Israel has to deal with the fallout also.. Russia in the last 20 years was friendly to Israel but that has now changed due to US support for Ukraine since Feb 2022. Even now the US still is preventing a settlement of the Ukraine War. Russia is now fighting back on the international stage.

I might also mention that Turkey, a member of NATO has organized a flotilla of 1000 ships to confront the Israel navy. Just like they did with Mavi Mara. I don’t recall the US telling Turkey to stop and desist.
US pressure is soley applied to Israel.

  7. @Michael
You too often seem to be too willing to offer insulting remarks accompanied with empty arguments, and again, you do so here. I couldn’t care less for the fate of Ukraine as it is a silly nation, being led by an actor whose only line seems to be ‘more please’ with no proof that the more he gets actually gets to the battle, even as the battle he fights is being lost once again.

As for Israel, so long as she does not pursue America’s objectives, she will not fall prey to Ukraine’s coming fate. Indeed, it is for Israel to decide her own future and tell the Yankees to take their barking orders and bark up another tree. If she does this, Israel’s fate will not be the fate of Ukraine, but if this is to be so, we will have to see.

By the way, while I am no Manchurian, and also no candidate, you should share another pointless glib derogatory in your next comment because it would be greatly disappointing to see that you have something more relevant to share.

  8. @Laura

I’ve heard that Israel also believes this.

I am increasingly interested in what the source might be for this statement. I am not badgering you or being rhetorical, but am seriously interested if it was some ramblings from some random internet poster or if you read it somewhere more substantively based. I can sympathize if you are uncertain of the sourcing, as we have all been reading a good bit on these matters, but I have been looking for any suggestion more substantive than the neocon conclusions that ‘Russia did it, again’.

In any event, you say that Russia has not eaten our lunch, and yet, Putin’s downfall and Russia’s defeat and Ukraine’s destruction of the Dombas were all part of the American aims at pushing Ukraine to war, and not one of these are remotely close to being achieved, but rather, for each one of these goals, the complete opposite is currently in process. Ukraine is being pushed further from controlling the Dombas, Putin is more secure in a non-dollar expanding economy, and the greatest achievement of late by Ukraine was when they wasted a drone to destroy a Russian flag flying over part of Adviidka, a drone which will only be replaced if someone gives it to them for free.

So yes, I say that Russia is eating America’s lunch, meaning that America’s goals are being fully undone, while Ukraine, now well rumped is being completely destroyed. Of course, Ukraine made its bed when entering this war and not demanding to be allowed to come to terms with Russia, as Russia was quite willing to grant terms to prevent or end this war.

Regarding Russia’s comments on Israel, I think you are confused on a the real inconsistency here. Russia has a right to defend itself when threatened, and even more so when attacked, just as do all nations including Israel. The 2022 Russian ATO was launched in response to a threat, and yet, they object to Israel responding to actually being attacked, which was obviously the greater right of self defense. So, it isn’t that I disagree that Russia’s statement was ignorantly challenged, but simply that it was challenged because they seem to think that threats are a greater cause for war than the slaughter of civilians.

In any event, if you know the source of what you are referencing in the quote above, I would be quite pleased if you could share it.

  9. Have they eaten our lunch? Putin’s 3-day war is now 1 year 9 months. I stand by my comment that Russia needs us distracted in the Mideast. And I firmly believe the demonic bastard in the Kremlin had a hand in Oct.7. I’ve heard that Israel also believes this. But the fact that putin is defending hamas and trashing Israel is enough for anyone who is pro-Israel to despise him and realize he’s an enemy. The audacity of him calling for a ceasefire in Gaza while he relentlessly bombs Ukraine in an unprovoked war he started.

As if Russia needed America distracted in the Middle East to win in Ukraine. Your conclusion suggests that Russia hadn’t eaten the US lunch over the past year.

  10. Peloni,

Every day, it seems, you sound more and more like a Manchurian Candidate. I agree completely with Laura on the matter of praising Russia and trashing America. What are you trying to accomplish?

If it will make you feel better, while Traitor Joe Biden has been kowtowing to Xi Jinping, he’s also been cozying up to Russia. The UK, US and Russia even gave identical votes in the UNSC against Israel. Soon, Ukraine will be thrown under the bus, just as you wish. Israel will be next. You can be happy then, I suppose.

Meanwhile, I’m all for the hostages.

    They don’t give a sh-t about your p-ssy politics. They’re precious,.

  11. @Laura

To have America distracted by instability in the Middle East is absolutely in Russia’s interest.

As if Russia needed America distracted in the Middle East to win in Ukraine. Your conclusion suggests that Russia hadn’t eaten the US lunch over the past year.

The threat of Arab immigration in Russia is a national security issue. It isn’t rhetoric, and they aren’t subtle about it. Setting off a powder keg in the Middle East between the two regional superpowers, Israel and Iran, is specifically not in Russia’s interest. Hence, it isn’t me being gullible, rather I would argue that it is you who are being short sighted, with all due respect.

Now Russia has the largest armada assembled in modern history sitting off its Syrian port. Do you think this is also what they were hoping to take place? Russia is very careful with regards to its own interests. This was Iran’s doing, and before you share the tidbit about Russia being Iran’s ally, please note that Russia doesn’t give Iran anything, not a penny, not a ruble. They sell Iran Russian goods. Whereas it is the US which has given, literally given, Iran billions of dollars to push its proxy war with Israel. This isn’t an accident, or an oversight. It is US policy. They even have an Iranian spy in the Pentagon with full Naval Intelligence clearance.

Russia had a need to deal with the US munitions being supplied for free to Ukraine. Iran filled that need. But the US chose Iran. They chose Iran over Israel, and they did so decades ago, and are still pursuing an Iranian hegemony in the region, which is why the US meticulously compromised all of Iran’s enemies in the region while providing Iran the means and protections to build their nuclear program. They even carved a loophole in the Russian sanctions program so that Russia would have an incentive to support Iran’s nuclear program at the same time.

So, you may not like Russia, but to suggest that they would shoot themselves in the chest with a new round of immigrating Arab hordes while simultaneously summoning what looks like an American led fleet, just to help win in Ukraine when they have already been winning in Ukraine, seems pretty unlikely to me.

  12. Boy, are you gullible Peloni. To have America distracted by instability in the Middle East is absolutely in Russia’s interest.

and stability rather than war is Russia’s main objective in the Middle East.

  13. Of course, Iran was involved. That goes without saying. But that doesn’t mean Russia, hamas’ ally which met with them in Moscow, can’t also be involved. China also for that matter. They are all part of the same axis of evil. Why the stubborn insistence on defending putin and Russia here? Wake the fuck up people. Russia is Israel’s mortal enemy. This coming from the same people who don’t hesitate to trash America at every turn but will never condemn Russia.

Certainly it points at Iran rather than Russia. Too obvious to an informed thinker not to jump to the eye.

  14. The title doesn’t apply to the interview at all. He gives credit to Bibi for keeping Israeli left and right unired behind the war effort and given Israel’s dependence on the U.S., Biden.

  15. It is ironic that Pollack deduces that Russia must be behind the October 7 slaughter based on the sophisticated use of drones in the attack. Indeed, it is as if he was unaware that it was from Iran which Russia imported both the technology and techniques employed in the fields of Ukraine, while Iran is also the funder and supporter of Hamas. The seemingly obvious conclusion, however, would be that the Russians did it in the Library with the Candlestick, as per rote neocon sleuthing.

Interestingly, Pollack also states that Russia does not want to destroy Israel, but rather to weaken her. In fact, a weak Israel is a destroyed Israel, and stability rather than war is Russia’s main objective in the Middle East.

While it is not impossible for Russia to have had some hand in the Hamas attack, it remains to be seen where Russia would benefit from destabilizing a region whose stability was in fact the objective of Russia entering the region to begin with. In supporting such a slaughter as took place on October 7 to weaken Israel, Russia would have known the result would be for Israel to strike out at Lebanon, Syria and Iran, and not just Hamas alone, and none of this would support Russia’s goals or position in the region.

It does however fit the needs of Iran to paralyze the ongoing peace hopes in the region which were a clear threat to her interests. It also helped feed the Iranian narrative that Israel is a “paper spider”, that the Arab street would be incensed against any Israeli response, and that the Big and Small Satan’s would be, in the same moment, dealt a great blow. Yet, Pollack states it must have been Russia behind all of this to weaken the US.

In fact, there were better means by which Russia might strike at America beyond destabilizing a region which Russia’s national interests expressly requires to be quiescent. Indeed, Russia has had two years of war with the West in which to do so.
