I agree with her on both counts, and for the same reason: If we don’t defend US interests on the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, we will have to defend them at the Rio Grande — and if we have become such an insignificant, isolated nation that we no longer have interests on the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, then both the US and the civilized world are in deep doo doo.
