I agree with the points made by Glenn Greenwald, but it isn’t the War in Ukraine that has caused this phenomenon. The Left’s strategy for gaining and maintaining power require defining “reality” for the World.
The people involved in this project are so narcissistic that they truly believe their definitions speak for every person in the world. And those they don’t speak for shouldn’t be allowed to exist.
Thus:
Trump is a Nazi because he won’t accept their definitions and their opinions masquerading as “news” as anything but fake.
Trump is a mentally ill criminal.
A Nazi isn’t really a Nazi if he is fighting Putin or the USSR.
A man can have babies, and “chest feed.”
MAGA Trump supporters are a domestic extremist cult and need to be “deprogrammed.” (Hillary Clinton) or investigated by the FBI or DHS.
There are an infinite number of genders.
The COVID shots are safe and effective.
Killing babies in the womb is health care and health care is a universal right.
A Climate Apocalypse is at our doorstep. Cow flatulence and too much CO2 are the cause.
Whatever the subject of importance to those on the Left, they are determined to define the terms.
Thus Netanyahu and Trump are dangerous to “democracy.” Anyone who opposes their solipsistic view of the world is “dangerous to democracy.” And they are willing to fight with everything they’ve got to keep their power intact, even if it means breaking the law and destroying the US Constitution.
Drunk with power, those on the Left feel no one can effectively oppose them.
Only time will tell.
