I’ll listen to this time permitting. Ukraine made a “fatal mistake” when they didn’t sue for peace at the start of this unwinnable conflict. Perhaps there is something in this for Ukraine and the US leadership that they deem so important that they would rather die than make concessions. For me, I see no reason for my loved ones to die in this war. In any war, the losing side would generally be expected to pay reparations, cede territory, cede sovereignty, or something of value. When the conflict is not winnable its going to be best to cut one’s losses early. The longer this is stretched out the more painful this is going to be for America. As my late grandfather told me, “when you find yourself in a hole the first thing to do is stop digging!!” I’m forced to wonder once the US leadership class is forced to face reality will this be the time when our side launches or tries to launch nuclear weapons. They accuse Russia of wanting to do this. In actuality, they describe themselves!!
