Netanyahu prepares to strike Iran

If the reports are true, Iran will have enough nuclear material for its first bomb. Netanyahu’s return to power means that a strike on Iran’s facilities becomes a real possibility.

With all the civil unrest in Israel and growing security situation in Judea and Samaria, one wonders if Israel is heading for its own uprising, The truth is, it doesn’t really matter. For Bibi, the best cover for an attack is to allow the various challenges Israel is facing to be front and center. With the world focusing on other stuff – an Iran attack can have the desired effect it is meant to.

Netanyahu recently called a meeting with IDF top brass in order to prepare for a serious war. Does this mean Israel is about to attack Iran?

It certainly seems so.

    I’m guessing you can divide that number by 100 because Israel only has 315 F 15’s, F 16’s and F 35’s and you can bet they are not all operational. On the other hand maybe they are saying there are preliminary targets like anti aircraft missile/radar sites, military aircraft sites, airports etc that have to be taken out first. Then the 10 to 30 nuclear sites can be attacked multiple times to make sure the job is done as many are underground or in mountains.

    Lucky for Israel that Iran only has American, Russian and Chinese planes from the Vietnam era.

    Imagine the squawking at the UN should Israel do this. Every 3rd world dictatorship along with Western Europe will get the vapors.

  4. I disagree with the following article but I learned something important:

    To accomplish their mission, the pilots needed to take their planes dangerously beyond the maximum distance specified by the manufacturer. But the mission was a complete success, and all the pilots returned home safely.

    In addition, a character in the film could have said he had heard somewhere that Israel had done something like this four decades before—which would have added dramatic punch to such a factual statement at the end of the film.”

  5. In January 2008 I patiently told friends and family we did not need to worry about a nuclear armed Iran as Israel would handle the problem. I further explained that Israel would carry out the operation, eliminate the threat, and the miliary assets that carried out the operation would be back home in Israel before US officials, the US military, or US (un)intelligence services even knew it happened. I still believe this to be the case. Frankly then and now I’m kind of looking forward to the “deer in the headlights” look on the faces of top US government and media officials as they try and explain what just happened.

    There are numerous pro-Iranian operatives at all levels of the US government. Obviously Israel is aware of this and is acting accordingly. When the operation occurs, the US will be completely kept out of the loop in terms of planning, logistics, and carrying out the operation. The Americans and our government are net liability here and obviously will not be consulted. The best advice for our government in this area and all things is GET OUT OF ISRAEL’S WAY!!
