Once it becomes apparent that the US and its “allies” are going to lose in Ukraine and they can longer cover this up and/or deny it even to themselves, I think it highly likely the US will turn to nuclear weapons. As such, WWIII is a major concern.
Prior to the Ukraine war it was well known by anyone paying attention that the US had neglected its nuclear deterrent while nations like Russia and China had made significant upgrades to theirs. Once the US either foolishly or nefariously entered into Ukraine a narrative had to be invented. This is the ridiculous notion that Russia’s nuclear arsenal might now work when, in fact, we really need to be concerned about ours. As a candidate, former president Trump rightly raised this concern.
