Russia WARNS Israel & U.S. Over Iran Drone Strike

The Russia-Iran axis may prompt the West to see Israel with new eyes

But something else is happening that may work in Israel’s favor, and indeed in favor of all those around the world who oppose terrorism and the Iranian regime that sponsors it: The Iranians have made what may be a fatal mistake. They have openly joined forces with Russian President Vladimir Putin in his war on Ukraine, providing him with military equipment such as drones.

This puts Iran on a direct collision course with the United States and the Western world in general, which is standing firm against Russian aggression and aiding the Ukrainians in their fight against the invaders. A clear Russia-Iran axis now exists, and if the Palestinians continue to court Iranian support, they may find themselves facing a West that is no longer interested in indulging them.

The West now sees Iran in a new way. They do not see it as a problem to be solved but as an outright enemy of the West that is helping to prolong the first land war in Europe since World War II. The West also sees the massive violations of human rights the ayatollahs are committing against the brave protesters against the theocratic regime—the killing of hundreds of women and children, the executions of young demonstrators and more.

So, when the West sees the recent spectacular attack on facilities in Isfahan that likely manufactured drones—a strike widely attributed to Israel—they understand that those drones were not only intended to be used against Israel but also Ukraine. They understand that if Israel did indeed hit those facilities, it did not just help itself, but also the West as a whole.

For years, the West has ignored Iran’s daily calls for the destruction of Israel. But now it knows that Iran not only wants to destroy Israel, but also Ukraine, and in the end, the West itself. Perhaps they are now prepared to see Israel, at long last, with new eyes.

T. Belman. The US immediately signalled that Israel was responsible for the attacks on Isfahan and Israel didn’t deny it. Could Israel have agreed with the US to attack Iran in this way as a means of participating in America’s war against Russia?

  1. Basically, each country will have to act to its core interests. And true abilities to do so safely.
Israel cannot allow the Ayatollas regime to have nuclear weapons.

  2. T. Belman,,,

Seeing that these exercises happened BEFORE Israeli drones purportedly struck Iran, and were probably planned long before this, It seems clear that defending Israel from Iran was the main consideration.

Iran’s collaboration with Russia has a long and deep history:

“n 2005, Russia was the seventh largest trading partner of Iran, with 5.33% of all exports to Iran originating from Russia.[59] Trade relations between the two increased from US$1 billion in 2005 to $3.7 billion in 2008.[57] Motor vehicles, fruits, vegetables, glass, textiles, plastics, chemicals, hand-woven carpet, stone and plaster products were among the main Iranian non-oil goods exported to Russia.[60]

In 2014, relations between Russia and Iran increased as both countries are under U.S. sanctions and were seeking new trade partners. The two countries signed a historic US$20 billion oil for goods deal in August 2014.[61][62][63]

In 2021, trade between the nations rose 81% to a record $3.3 billion.[64]

President Ebrahim Raisi, who was elected in 2021, seemed to prioritize trade with Russia.[56] In early 2022, Ebrahim Raisi traveled to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart. He handed over Iran’s proposed draft for a 20-year cooperation agreement between Iran and Russia during his trip.[56]

With the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 by Russia, the U.S. and other nations have imposed sanctions on Russia.[65] In the opinion of at least one Western writer, in order to evade sanctions, Iran and Russia could be working together to create a “clandestine banking and finance system to handle tens of billions of dollars in annual trade banned under U.S. led sanctions.”[66]

On 20 March 2022 it was reported that Iran, in the person of Agriculture Minister Javad Sadatinejad, had signed a deal in Moscow with Russia to import 20 million tons of basic goods including vegetable oil, wheat, barley and corn.[67]”
