  1. Hi, Felix.

I’m sure you typed a meaningful comment, but it seems to have gotten turned into a word salad! Russian EMP?

  2. Capitalism is 80 years older, more decrepit etc

Everything is in motion. Things change.

Media now allows no free speech

Do not replace study with wise sayings

  3. HI, Felix. Yes, this is the level of discussion. Fundamentally, the current situation in Ukraine, including NATO heavy armor, Russian offensives and even the prospect of Vietnam-style escalation, is no different from the “Mutually Assured Destruction” thinking of the Cold War. The only significant difference, is that the Russia-China alliance replaces the Warsaw Pact as the West’s main adversary.

Meanwhile, business is absolutely great for the Military Industrial Complex:

The Defence Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), a subsidiary of the defence department responsible for supplies, training and military-to-military exchanges with allies, said the total arms transferred stood at almost US$52 billion in the fiscal year 2022, compared with US$34.8 billion the previous year.

The transfers include regular arms sales as well as equipment supplied under various assistance programmes, according to the report on the Pentagon’s website.

James Hursch, director of the DSCA, said the ongoing Ukraine war and China’s military expansion had pushed US allies and partners to think about the need to acquire more advanced and costly weapons for deterrence.

“Central European countries, for example, are looking to get some of the same capabilities that have worked well for the Ukrainian army, and to increase their own capabilities for deterrence,” Hursch said…

  4. And is THIS the level of discussion when we talk about thermo nuclear war coming out of this war? Face it that is sick.

  5. NATO I think are going to enter into Ukraine with their divisions to use these heavy tanks to overpower Russia, drive all Russians out of Ukraine. Destroy the fleet. Pulverise Russia. First time in history two nuclear powers fully engage…Gravest consequences possible. Danger growing. Total Alarm.

  6. Widespread corruption in Ukraine’s govt.
as multiple members of Zelensky’s govt resign over misuse of foreign aid. This is as sad as it was predictable.

Some dozen officials have quit their posts after a huge political shake-up over allegations and probes into cases ranging from bribery, to mismanagement of aid funds for purchasing food, to embezzlement, to driving expensive cars while common people suffer under wartime conditions.

A top presidential adviser and four deputy ministers – among these two defense officials, along with five regional governors were forced out of their posts. And among the regional governors to step down included officials overseeing regions which have seen intense fighting, including the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, where Russian forces have lately reported gains.
