American media has molded the current narrative about the Russia-Ukraine conflict to suit the needs of the political class in both major political parties. Across the political spectrum. Russia has become the unprovoked aggressor and Ukraine the innocent victim. Is this really the truth?
While most Americans and those living in Western Europe have adopted the Russia “bad guy” narrative, most people only tuned in days after the official conflict was said to begin – meaning when Russia invaded Ukraine. The media and the political class rely on their low informed, high distracted populace to be clueless about the actual event and the real historical record.
There has been a Ukrainian war on the Donbass since 2014, where reports suggest that nearly 13,000 people have died in the majority Russian speaking area of Eastern Ukraine. These people were not killed by Russia, but rather by Ukraine. Anyone who has been following the news out of Donbass over the last few years understood that up through the beginning of the current conflict there has been a campaign of terror and incitement against the Russian speaking populace in the Donbass.
The Ukrainian government, even under Zelensky has viewed this area as vital for Ukraine and has been willing to kill Russian speaking civilians to clamp down on the unrest in this area.
Why Is The Donbass So Important?
Both Russia and Ukraine together produce 22% of the world’s grain. It happens to be that although the Oblasts of Donetsk and Lukhansk produce less wheat than other areas in Ukraine, the Oblasts directly to their West (but still in Eastern Ukraine), produce a very high percentage of wheat and other grains.
With food prices already soaring worldwide, Eastern Ukraine becomes critical for the central government. The areas of the Donbass under Russia separatist control are a gateway to the rest of the Donbass and the whole of Eastern Ukraine.
For Russia, this region also poses a geographical threat to Moscow. East of the Dnieper really is one plain running through the Donbass into Russia itself. While this has allowed Russia to seize large swaths of land in the Donbass, the reverse is also true. With enough backing and weapons, Ukraine is able to strike deep into Russia.
This is ultimately why NATO wanted to build up Ukraine militarily. The West wanted to use Ukraine as a forward base against Putin’s Russia, while keeping out of any conflict directly – a classic proxy conflict. However, this strategy has seemingly backfired, with the war threatening to engulf the entire world.
Censoring The Truth About The Russia-Ukraine War
With the West having such high stakes with the current war, any movement away from the official narrative has met the same fate of those who challenged the corporatist media narrative about COVID-19 – full censorship.
Recently, French journalist Anne-Laure Bonnel was censored after merely reporting the facts about what has taken place over the last eight years in Donbass, a region where she has been reporting from since 2014. CNews claimed they did not believe her evidence and actually cut the footage.
It is important to understand that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has been brewing for years, not only due to Putin’s appetite to restore parts of the Russian Empire, while securing Russia, but because NATO has viewed Ukraine as an important part of its strategic puzzle in pushing against Russia. More than this, NATO needs an enemy or an excuse for its own existence. Without an enemy NATO has no real reason to exist. Ukraine has been the perfect staging ground for NATO’s rebirth as the “true protector” of Western civilization. All it had to do was sacrifice Ukraine and its Jewish president to Russian imperial aspirations.
The Ukrainians will never stop attacking their former fellow citizens in the Dombas. As in 2014 after the Ukrainian army refused to attack the citizens of the Dombas, and the Azov and her sister Battalions were formed from the miscreants of the nation to fulfill this purpose, they marched right past the Russian Federation held Crimea, not firing a shot, as they launched a military assault, including arial bombardment and the use of large artillery pieces, on their fellow ethnic Russian citizens in the Dombas. They want to eliminate the population in the Dombas, and this has been and remains the goal of the Kiev govt, both before and after Russia entered the fray.
The bombing of Danbass continues.

Anyone who has not seen Bonnel’s documentary should take the time to watch it:
DONBASS
Bonnell’s documentary demonstates the level of death and destruction which was taking place in Ukraine back in 2015 when the footage was being collected. If anyone challenges the view that the war began in 2014, watch the testimony and evidence collected in her documentary and recall that this was 7yrs before Russia entered the war and one year after the Ukrainian govt was overthrown and the minority population was placed under siege in the Dombas.
The notorious speech by Poroshenko given in Dec 2014, which plays in the first 30 seconds, is also quite revealing. It should always be recalled that both Poroshenko and Zelensky were both elected while making promises of making peace once elected, and their election took place while literally millions of ethnic Russians were prohibited from voting, ie their peace rhetoric resonated with the public during the election process, in so far as the elections where honest, which is of course another story. But within 7 months following Poroshenko’s victory, and within 9 months of Zelensky’s victory, each of these peace candidates had sold out to the war faction within the country and abandoned the prospect of peace.

David hits the mark! I was one of the first in Canada that I know of who publicly stated more or less what David has, back in March! For that I was called a Russian spy and worse. Check out the comments on my blog. You must have a hard skin to post anything (true) on social media these days… https://leonupsidedown.blogspot.com/2022/03/why-are-so-many-idolizing-
