Good point. Best to have the wolves shed their false colors and seek their support from those whose interests they obviously intend to serve.
Remember Sa’ar also was against the Likud Bill that required the Knesset to appoint judges rather than the Court.
If New Hope joins with Blue and White, they will lose many supporters who think of themselves as right wingers. That’s probably good for Likud.
Who stands with the Right? Not Sa’ar:
This really should not surprise people, but I have to admit it did surprise me to read that Sa’ar would join TSS Gantz. Upon reflecting, however, it was Sa’ar’s intrancigence that led to the Right not forming a govt, it was he who required the Brotherhood be included rather than Likud, it was he who has withheld support even today of forming a Right wing govt and instead will see Lapid become PM. This is a very sad day for the Right and for Israel.
