@Sebastien Zorn
Britain (allied with the Jewish Legion in North Africa) and America played just as big a role in North Africa and Europe.
Most of the German forces were concentrated on the Eastern front because that’s where most of their fighting was since Blitzkrieg failed (and not because of the weather).
The US fought the Japanese who attacked at Pearl Harbor because the US declared an embargo on oil/fuel supplies to Japan which the US faithfully supplied to Japan since the 30s, all throughout the Japanese campaign in Asia.
The Japanese had some of that stuff stored up, however, and they decided to fight the war of attrition against the US with all they’ve got.
However, Germany received it supplies from Standard Oil throughout the war, plus some indirectly from the sources controlled by the US.
The major reason German tanks were running out of fuel is because the Germans never managed to get to the Soviet oil fields in Caucasus which they were literally dying to capture while being stuck deep within the Soviet territory.
The reason the British were fighting the Germans in the ME is because Germany broke the agreement it had with the British not to invade the areas of British interests, i.e. close to the Suez Canal and to India, etc. – that was after the British gave Hitler a free hand in the East in 1938 (that’s why Hitler attacked the Soviet Union in 1941 (and Poland in 1939) “like an idiot with the brave British fighting him”, because he knew that there was in reality no 2nd front in the rear).
When the Germans who wanted to get rid of Hitler (during the war) contacted the British for support, the British refused to help and told them it wasn’t a good time, or something like that.
The “evil empire” before the revolution was actually ruled by the British royal family which the Romanoffs were part of – that’s why the poor tzarevich Aleksey had hemophilia – they were so inbred.
The West’s policy toward Rus/Russia/Russian Empire/the USSR/the Russian Federation has always been determined by one thing only – the lust for the land and resources – “Go East, young man!”
