Fake news about Russia’s special operation in Ukraine
The statement of the Ukrainian side about “mass killings” in the city of Bucha is another provocation. This was reported in the official telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“All the photographs and video materials published by the Kiev regime, allegedly testifying to some kind of “crimes” by Russian military personnel in the city of Bucha, Kiev region, are another provocation. During the time this settlement was under the control of the Russian armed forces, not a single local resident suffered from any violent actions, ”the Ministry of Defense said.
It is noted that notes about the “murders” in Bucha appeared four days after the Russian troops left the city. “It is of particular concern that all the bodies of people whose images were published by the Kiev regime, after at least four days, have not become stiff, do not have characteristic cadaveric spots, and there is unclotting blood in the wounds,” the Ministry of Defense concluded. The department said that the video footage from Bucha is another production of the Kiev regime for the Western media.
Russia had previously launched a special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the decision to conduct a special operation forced. According to the president, its main task is to protect the inhabitants of Donbass from genocide. According to the VTsIOM poll, 79% of respondents positively assessed the president’s decision.

Yes, well the problem lies in the fact that Putin did invade. They focus on this fact in the window of time and events that directly surround the invasion and, should you ignore everything else, well, yes, it simplifies the matter and ignores the more encompassing reality that led to this very sad state of affairs. I believe this has a great deal to do with the unpleasant history of Russia, particularly with regards to its role in the Soviet Era, though not exclusively related to that period, as Russia has an unpleasant history going back much further than that.
The lack of accountability by Eastern Europe for their role in the affairs of the Soviet Union, and the geopolitically advantageous use of a shortsighted memory on part of the West assists this self serving premise by all of Europe that Russia was alone responsible for the crimes of the Soviet Union. Ted wrote an intriguing article tackling the topic that resulted from the lack of any sense of finality that resulted from the fall of the Soviet Union which lacked both the sense of victory for the West as well as any defeat for the East.
For my part, I see the Russian invasion as being the result of a much greater campaign than that which immediately surrounds the invasion of Ukraine. To Putin’s credit, he has made serious and repeated calls for the West to acknowledge his security concerns vis-a-vis a military treaty that is completely focused upon Russia, ie NATO. This supposed all-for-one and one-for-all treaty has come to manipulate its original defensive nature into one focused upon conquest by regime change which has seen the creation of failed states and crippled nations that lie in the wake of its expanding marshal targets, all without any need for even the rude premise of a legal basis upon which war might be pursued(see Serbia and Libya just to begin with).
Others will and do disagree with this view, many whose respect I value and whose opinions I find compelling in most other circumstances. But to be honest to what I know to be correct and true, I believe quite convincingly that Russia had a right to have her security concerns regarding the potential threat of NATO expansion into Ukraine to be addressed. Failing this, after 14yrs of ignoring these calls, and after she had been assured that there would be no response to her invasion, Russia acted. Russian actions have provided an opportunity to finally require the imbalance in the security paradigm surrounding her borders to be addressed. It is greatly unfortunate that this could have and should have been dealt with quite easily at any point going back many years prior to the outbreak of war, as opposed to the clear provocation that took place by a hostile Ukrainian govt whose calls for war with Russia were later followed by assurances that they would be included in NATO and a veiled threat that Ukraine might reconsider her non-nuclear status. Given the lack of any military threat towards Russia should she invade, how could any reasonable person expect that they would do anything other than what they did do. Though, even as I state this, I do and always have had concerns for the Russian invasion, but that is for another thread.
Should Russia’s part in Ukraine be compared to NATO’s part in Serbia, there are many striking similarities and just as many contradictions with regards to the outrage sensed by the NATO members. An article Ted posted today (https://www.israpundit.org/the-road-to-ukraine-started-with-1999s-kosovo-war/) does a very nice analysis of the Serbian War for reference. NATO’s claim to make war on Serbia was less substantiated and more tenuous than that which Russia held when she invaded Ukraine. What is worse is that I do not expect Russia to hold to international standards that I would expect NATO to hold as sacrosanct. This is a personal bias that I recognize in myself to which I fully confess. Needless to say, I have come to be shocked by the unfolding reality that has taken form over the past 20yrs with regards to these two presumptions, both of which were proven false.

I like your post and gave it a tick but…
You know. We here know a bit.
But the great billions do not know anything and are totally misled
Not even a left is exposing this.
And that’s the real issue.
@ Felix Darlin, “Putin is a Christian” really ???

Is this part of what will be revealed at UN?
From Larry Johnson’s latest article

The bodies in Bucha were produced 4 days after the Russian forces left, and the bodies were FRESH!
No signs of decay which should have accumulated in the bodies after them lying around dead for days.
Russia has asked for a Security Council meeting for today to discuss Bucha and the British refused.
@Felix
The reality is that Ukraine’s only asset in this war is Western support in which the PR campaign is critical to the continuation of this support. So they have the greater reason to lie about these war crimes. They also have a long history of war crimes stretching back to the Maidan and Odessa massacres and the claims of mass graves over the past 8yrs.
Russia, however, also has every reason to lie, though it is less vital to their war effort. This becomes especially important if their troops have been left unrestrained and allowed to recklessly commit war crimes and left evidence of such crimes for all to see on the streets they were evacuating, which by itself seems revealingly incredulous. The plot thickens though, when considering the report of Alex Markovsky that Russia has forgone attacking urban centers due to the use of non-combatants as human shields, something that the Ukrainians have alluded to in a recent interview when they stated that human rights do not apply to them in this war. If the Russians are not willing to accept causing residential losses secondary to Ukrainians holding them as human shields, why would Russia allow their troops to commit obvious war crimes and why would they leave the bodies scattered about as they were retreating from the area. These facts appear to be starkly inconsistent.
Sebastien the answer is believe Russia and believe Putin because they lead a highly intelligent and experienced people and a very computer literate people. Plus they are faced with so many lies. Why would they lie? Exposing lies is their only salvation.
Putin is a Christian and politically in a theoretical sense is weak especially on history from 1900 on. But that’s a different issue.
Peloni yes it should be investigated but under a different perspective than you suggest which is expose the lies factory set up by these Fascists in Kiev, and especially the role of the British in this, and the role of its BBC at all levels. Add the exploitation of prisoners by these Fascists in Ukrainian govt as in picture
Michael S you have some brass neck on you. Your holy and so apostolic pope’s bishops and priests created the Jew Hatred that drove Hitler and the Holocaust and especially the fake ideology of Jewish Communism or Jewish Bolshevism! At the very centre of Ukraine.
No idea who to believe.

@Michael S
As far as I could tell, Trotskyites at least have brains which is a rare commodity these days.
No war crime should be tolerated or ignored, if proven accurate. That being stated, the Ukrainian govt has yet to explain the mass graves that have been excavated over the years of their own citizens, many of which contain the bodies with severed heads and other obvious atrocities that have gone yet unexplained. These civilian victims were not props nor crisis actors adjusting their own body bags as we have seen in the past month as media manipulation to support the Ukrainian war effort. Hence, regardless of the reality or fable behind these most recent claims of Russian atrocities, Ukraine already has much to answer for in the crimes they committed against their own citizens.
In a related subject, I am curious how the investigation is going with regards to the Russian soldiers caught being beaten and shot while bound by Ukrainian soldiers, one of which had video of it uploaded to his instagram acct. As I say, no war crime should be tolerated or ignored, unfortunately, they have been and likely will continue to be.
Fascists are about as trustworthy as Trotskyites.
In fighting a Fascist nation which is what Ukraine is there must be certain rules to follow because the Fascist people have never abided by civilized rules. We need special parties that can fight this. Not tiny grouplets but mass parties. Remember in the Maidan they sniper killed THEIR OWN PROTESTERS
The expected lies must be answered. These are critical hours.
