I can’t understand why on the one hand they attack the Law of Return for being too lenient, while on the other hand, anyone Spanish-speaking who “suddenly remembers” that his great-grandmother lit some candles on Friday is believed to be a descendant of the “forcibly converted to Christianity” Spanish Jews.
Most of the conversos converted to Christianity willingly or stayed converted willingly for 600 years already (read the Bentzion Netanyahu’s book about the Spanish inquisition), so why even bother.
