Howard Lutnick, the CEO of Rumble’s parent company Cantor Fitzgerald, stated on Monday that they have worked out a distribution deal with former President Donald Trump’s planned “TRUTH” social media platform.

“Truth and the 45th president are going to use Rumble’s infrastructure, their technology, their cloud distribution capability, so they are going to be a service provider, a tech provider to the president’s Truth Social,” Lutnick told interviewer John Bachman on his “John Bachman Now” show.

Rumble, a video-based, pro-free speech platform, works in a similar manner to other streaming services like YouTube, but promotes neutrality, refusing to censor its users like other Big Tech companies have been doing.

In direct competition with YouTube, Rumble has grown quickly, reaching a 15 percent market share among US users over the past year, according to Newsmax.

Lutnick continued during the interview: “What this is, is people with political ideology being asked to leave YouTube, comedians are now coming over, gamers are coming over. It’s a broad group of people don’t want to be censored.”

“They want to be able to speak their minds, speak their truths, and speak their opinions. So I think Rumble, which is neutral down the middle, I think it’s going to get a huge following of people who just want to speak their minds.”

Lutnick further iterated that Rumble, after the deal struck with his company, will now “have the money now to go do whatever they want to do.”

Trump’s anti-Big Tech social media startup raised $1 billion from investors over the weekend to fund the 45th president’s digital media venture.

“$1 billion sends an important message to Big Tech that censorship and political discrimination must end. America is ready for TRUTH Social, a platform that will not discriminate on the basis of political ideology,” Trump stated.

  2. Yes Bear, you are again quite correct. It is reprehensible that such tactics should be allowed by the courts or the govt. Of course, it should be recalled that some months ago we discovered, thanks to the revelations by Dr. Sheva, that the likes of Facebook and Google and Twitter were actually working hand in glove, as it were, with many govt agencies to actually enact the censorship policy. So, as reprehensible as I find it, it is just one more aspect of the corruption in the US govt which is acting to suppress personal liberties and freedoms that you reference.

With this in mind, I am truly hoping that the govt does not attempt to block Trump’s venture, even as I have every expectation that they will. Hopefully I am wrong, though…

  3. @Peloni thanks for the information and link. I hope TMTG becomes a massive success and the lack of freedom of speech is a massive problem. The suppression of thought and expression by those controlling social media and MSM is horrible.

10-term congressman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced his retirement from Congress at the end of this month to serve as CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group.

“Recently, I was presented with a new opportunity to fight for the most important issues I believe in. I’m writing to let you know I’ve decided to pursue this opportunity, and therefore I will be leaving the House of Representatives at the end of 2021,” Nunes said in a vaguely worded Monday statement.

“Rest assured, I have not, by any means, given up our collective fight—I’ll just be pursuing it through other means.”

Concurrent with his announcement, the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced in a press release that Nunes – currently the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee – had been selected to join the company as Chief Executive Officer.

“Mr. Nunes is currently a sitting U.S. House Representative, representing California’s 22nd congressional district, and formerly the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. Mr. Nunes will be leaving the U.S. House of Representatives and will begin his new role as Chief Executive Officer of TMTG in January 2022.”

Former President Trump said of the move: “Congressman Devin Nunes is a fighter and a leader. He will make an excellent CEO of TMTG. Devin understands that we must stop the liberal media and Big Tech from destroying the freedoms that make America great. America is ready for TRUTH Social and the end to censorship and political discrimination.”

Nunes, meanwhile, said “The time has come to reopen the Internet and allow for the free flow of ideas and expression without censorship. The United States of America made the dream of the Internet a reality and it will be an American company that restores the dream. I’m humbled and honored President Trump has asked me to lead the mission and the world class team that will deliver on this promise.”

The news comes after TMTG announced a $1 billion private capital infusion over the weekend – formally known as as “PIPE” which values the company at $4 billion.
