  1. @Edgar

As you can see, she has decided to ignore the whole matter and not even acknowledge that it ever happened.

A key detail, I believe, which should be seen as a footnote that speaks volumes. The testimony of collegial warnings should, of course, always be pursued for their merited value, but as Edgar points out, Carolyn, a great advocate on all issues regarding the Jewish People and the Jewish State, has decidedly not pursued this matter further in the public frame. And four years is a long time for Carolyn to not revisit any topic which bears any regional consequence – had she any input, there would be no force on earth that could this long maintain her silence. In fact, I find her silence to be testimony enough for which we should all hear an empty support for the stated claims she shared from her associates. She should have made some response to Mudar’s rebuttal, and I am regretful that her only response was this affirmed silence, but this silence is response enough such that her meaning is well tendered, I think.

In truth, Mudar has made some very atypical calls for an Arab leader, and has called out the use of violence, even as he could use such low standards to his own benefit. Indeed, his stalwart refusal to stray from his support for such points of democratic standards and modern reforms which will generate a great reward for his people’s while pursuing the establishment of a cohesive bond with his Jewish cousins is quite inspiring. It is common enough for Arab leaders to advocate such comments to the West in their own dialects while speaking in a different tongue to their own supporters, but this is a technique that is quite missing from Mudar’s consistent advocacies, regardless of the language spoken or the identity of those to whom he speaks. We should take further encouragement from Mudar’s consistently strong voiced commitment to adhering to and managing the long ignored debt for which Jordanian state was first established in the devil’s bargain accepted by that old crafty salesman, Abdullah – the first crooked scamp to bear that name. It can not have been a reform to which his Palestinian brothers would find much revelation, and it is a signalment of leadership to make the hard calls against the popular tomes carried for generations and still maintain their support. His advocacy has already distinguished this mark uniquely among the Jordanian leaders over the years. Additionally, the role he has played in working with Ted towards building and detailing the Jordan Option is quite pivotal. Hence, as I see things, casting him as a false prophet, so to speak, is quite without any factual basis in fact or action, but quite the contrary.

As we are now fast approaching a rising moment with Iran, and this Iranian convert sits upon the Jordanian throne, we should all lend our support to Mudar’s strong success in meeting his every stated goal, his ambitions will have a significant consequence. Indeed, his success would be our own, and it would be good to have such a strong neighbor replace this Persian rug(rogue?) that now decorates the halls of Jordanian power and upon which the Mullahs hope to soon begin placing their own furnishings. We should, therefore, not be so constricted by empty warnings to forestall the establishment of such a worthy ally, as I hope to see Mudar soon become. For my part, I hope for his continued safety and every success in his current undertaking over the coming months.

You don’t have to go after Glick. As you can see, she has decided to ignore the whole matter and not even acknowledge that it ever happened. Indicating, to me anyway, that she knows she made a “boo-boo’ but after jumping in at the deep end without a lifebelt, would lose too much “face” to admit it, because is she does, she’s also castigating her very dear friend of many years.

Who knows how close and collaborating they have been on many projects. So she’s ignoring it.

As for Toameh, you just have to read about my experience with him, to know that at least he is a liar, and prevaricator, and makes up stories for publication; they have a reader-friendly scenario, but are not neccesarily true. Because of his unique position as an ARAB, fearlessly writing for a JEWISH newspaper with usually pejorative reports about ARABS, he had gained a sort of heroic “Fearless Freddie” fame.

I think it might be misplaced.

  3. Ted, I find what Caroline Glick wrote about Mr Zahran very disturbing. Is there any way you can get her to change her mind?
According to The Jerusalem Post’s deputy managing editor Caroline Glick, she was contacted by three of her acquaintances in October 2017 who discouraged her from writing in support of Zahran. “They did not coordinate their calls. Each one told me independently that Zahran is not a credible source. He is not a leader of an opposition movement. He doesn’t have an organization. He has multiple websites, they said.”
