@adamdaigleish That was the lead article. I didn’t check to see if it was published anywhere else, yet but the fact that they confused and conflated the Metropolitan Opera with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in this next article is not, shall we say, confidence inspiring. Not just the headline but the photo as well. And I couldn’t let them know because I see no comments section.
Adam Dalgleish’s criticism notwithstanding, the TFGI report makes good sense. Putin’s statement is definite and undeniable: He WILL support Saleh and, if necessary, oppose China and Pakistan. We therefore have a new scenario arising:
1. Russia, Syria, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, Armenia, India vs.
2. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Taliban Afghanistan, Qatar, Pakistan, China
Biden’s US is loudly proclaiming its passivity and neutrality. Iran seems to be in a squeeze to choose sides, and its future is very uncertain.
I have no idea what Israel will do, under its new leadership.
TFIG are complete b___t artists. It is true that Russia is unenthusiastic about the Taliban. But there are no indications that Russia is planning a “major military intervention” in Afghanistan. This would be totally out of character for the pragmatic Putin, who is undoubtedly aware that it was its intervention in Afghanistan that led to the fall of the Sviet Union. And Putin has not given the slightest indication that he is planning a return to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
TFIG’s glorification of th odious, criminal Assad regime in Syria that has butchered tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of Syrians, and its praise of Russia for propping up this odious regime, shows either total ignorance or a total lack of moral sensibility.
Ted, if you want accurate information about developments in these and other countries from an Indian source, you should post articles from WION, a professionally competent news service with reporters “on the spot” in these and other countries, including Russia, often reporting ‘live” on camera to the site audience. Like other professional news outlets, WION doesn’t always get the facts right, but as far as I can see, they always do their very best to do this. They are not bs artists like TFGI
I wonder.

@adamdaigleish Thank your for the reference, I didn’t know of this news agency. Ironically, I was going to say the exact same thing you did but then I went there and what did I find? https://www.wionews.com/world/china-russia-agree-to-jointly-counter-threats-from-afghanistan-408366
