  1. @Edgar Bibi was working for six months on selling Jordan water. This is the same deal and was simply completed under Bennett. So throwing shade on Bennett about this deal is not valid. The Israeli government position for years has to been to provide Jordan water. Israel has ample water to do this.

Jordan now has thrown its doors open to Iran is the troubling concern. I believe this is a reflection that the USA can not longer be trusted to support Jordan.

  2. @ ADAM…100% right on the point. wonder why Bennett decided to sell precious water to a decided enemy, and moreover a bankrupt enemy with constant instability as a norm.

  3. the report says the meeting was very positive, and that Abdullah informed Bennett he would okay a proposal for Israel to sell more water to Jordan.

How generous of the king! He will allow a neighboring country that he constantly badmouths to save his people from dying of thirst.

  4. If this is real why would Mudar sabotage the operation by saying Egyptian Special forces on the Jordanian border. That would endanger them.

If true this then this could be another Bay of Pigs disaster.
Sorry Ted, I know you believe Mudar I know but this does not pass smell test.

  5. This is not what was discussed. The King is finished.

Bennett secretly met with Jordanian king in Amman — report

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met secretly with Jordanian King Abdullah II last week at his palace in Amman, the Walla news site reports.

Quoting an unnamed former Israeli official, the report says the meeting was very positive, and that Abdullah informed Bennett he would okay a proposal for Israel to sell more water to Jordan.

The ex-official also says the two agreed to open a new page in Israel-Jordan ties, after tense relations between the countries’ leaders during former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s tenure.

The report comes after Foreign Minister Yaid Lapid met with his Jordanian counterpart earlier today for their first meeting since Israel’s new government was sworn in last month.
