Absolutely NO. A conductor’s baton is a very thin tapered piece of wood, like a short dress rapier, or long needle like stiletto. (have a look at one on the internet, I’m sure there are pictures). To me it looked like one of those batons which telescope, and can spring out to become longer. It is curious that it was on the ground so far behind him, and that he paused in his “flight” from the “threatening” single half-size person, followed by a very orderly “mob”… Obviously he knew there was no threat, and was actually leading them on, not too fact, to follow him up the stairs.
I’m going to look at batons (although I’ve had some in my hand-and modern police batons)

Yes, Edgar. I didn’t look closely at the baton, but my impression was not that it was a police baton (i. e. “club”), but that of an orchestra conductor. I would be more convinced that it was staged, if everyone were dressed in tights and tutus; but beyond that I won’t venture.

has lots of footage, bot of the “riots” (definitely NOT) and the even greater theatrics by the likes of Pelosi and Schumer — who, interestingly, were quick to demand that the Sergeant-at-arms and his men be fired immediately (by firing squad?).
I’ve been struggling with a recalcitrant internet most of the day, on little sleep. Before I quit for the day, I would say that the most “juicy” bit of information was hearing that some of the “white hats” managed to get hold of Nancy Pelosi’s laptop. I’m also curious about the whereabouts of my President, and whether Kayleigh McEnany is actually in communication with him.,
My deep sympathy goes to the husband and family of Ashli Babbitt, a true American and outstanding patriot.

Interesting that there happened to be someone there to film it all. And the “All” was very little, one fellow running partially backwards up the stairs in increments, after picking up his baton, curiously laid on the floor about 10 ft behind him, with another fellow about half his size running up after him. The noise is not coming from either two actors but either dubbed or from the people behind them who seemed to stop at the doorway., hesitated and then at the bottom of the stairs-except for that one small guy. It’s as if the policeman is trying to entice the others into the building and up the stairs…to follow him.
Strange, and as “Lisa” says ……seems staged.

The UNARMED woman was apparently shot POINT BLANK with a handgun fired by a policeman in the House chamber THROUGH A WINDOW AND OVER A BARRICADE. There were policemen next to the woman, but they did not restrain her. The policeman firing the shot did not appear to be in any danger.
This all happened around one minute into the video. This was unmitigated, unprovoked murder.
I can’t make out what was being said by the lone policeman. He seems to have been telling the peaceful protestors not to come in, in stages, until finally stopping them at the top of the stairs. I think I saw this same group a little later, “confronting” the police at a friendly, social distance. This does not appear to have been the group crowded into another hallway, where the shooting occurred; but I could be wrong. There are many reasonable explanations possible, which I won’t speculate on.
Several news sources say that Pence, McConnell et al conspired together to call in the National Guard, without consulting the Commander-in-Chief. That would seem to indicate that the conspirators were expecting violence more than the president was; but I don’t know the timing of these things. Others report that the police numbers were inadequate. Hopefully, we will see.
