A 16-year-old boy was transferred to Zarqa Government Hospital after a group of people cut off his upper limbs and gouged out his eyes, the Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The victim, who was listed in poor condition, said that a group of people took him to an uninhabited area and attacked him in revenge for a murder committed by one of his relatives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The PSD spokesperson said that investigations have begun to identify the perpetrators and warned against sharing the video related to the assault, stressing that circulating the video would constitute a violation of the law.
The cybercrime unit will follow up on any violations and will take the necessary legal measures against them, the spokesperson added.
@ Zachary:
As Ted said, “Its the explanations you should be leery of.”
The Palestinians have a long history of using pictures out of context to “explain” events that didn’t actually happen. A few years ago, I saw a Pal post of a very neatly cut hole in the top of an ambulance, complete with rusting screw holes around it (obviously from a dome light had been long ago removed), with the explanation that the hole was caused by an Israeli missile attack. In other photos, Palestinians supposedly “injured” in an Israeli attack miraculously jumped off the stretcher and began walking normally when out of sight of the camera. The Arab press is almost as hard to believe as the press in the US.
@ Zachary:
The event was real. The picture was real. Its the explanations you should be leery of.
Was that a fake picture I saw of the guy with his hands chopped off and eyes gouged out?
