  1. @ deanblake:
DeanBlake you are right! Condo is very much the wrong choice for a supposedly Conservative think tank. Her views and her new position are antithetical to the needs of a far different view of political life and voicing the values of tradition and morality instead of political correctness and the Democratic Party line so inimical to democracy and Constitutional law. Of course she supported Obama. Who appointed her? Obama is the hand behind a lot of what we see up front doing everything possible to pull Trump down and destroy traditional American values.

“Who is pulling the strings” asks D.B.

To answer this question, FOR STARTERS I would first go to the Hoover Institute website and examine the list of mucky mucks who comprise what they call “overseers”.
One name on the list is one Maragaret Hoover. Yes she is related to Herbert Hoover and probably has great influence. She hosts the reincarnation of William F. Buckley Jr.’s long running program ‘Firing Line’ of the same name. You will see at least one other familiar name.
Was the goal was choosing the best imaginable politically correct person?
Insurance is expensive. What about a preventative solution.
Especially to prevent being burned down in a riot.
Never Trumpers aligned with The Bush Wing.
Overall, the choice is no surprise to me.

  3. This lesbo facilitated the election of Hamas in Gaza. Except for a piano concert in the WH that deeply offended the King of Saudi Arabia by demonstrating a lack of understanding of cultural norms, when did you last see her play a concert, not even a charity concert?
She’s not qualified as a conservative manager or spokesperson at Hoover. I don’t know who is pulling the strings.

  4. “For the past four years, Jewish conservatives have been working hard to paint President Obama as too willing to press Israel on Palestinian issues.

But the latest Washington buzz could throw a wrench in that line of attack — if, as some Washington insiders are suggesting and the Drudge Report is reporting, Mitt Romney chooses Condoleezza Rice as his running mate.

That’s because as secretary of state during the George W. Bush administration, Rice was a strong backer of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, whom she described as a true partner for peace. She pushed hard for Palestinian elections, which in 2006 resulted in a victory for Hamas (in a 2008 essay in Foreign Policy magazine she held firm to the notion that elections were the right way to go despite the outcome). She described the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as vital to solving the Iran problem, and she was the administration’s point person for pursuing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, forging close ties with Israeli leaders who favored negotiating with the Palestinians. In 2007 at the summit meeting in Annapolis, Md., she reportedly told a closed-door meeting of Israeli and Arab envoys that her childhood experience with segregation in the South helped her understand the Palestinian experience.

“Questions will be raised on where she stands on Israel,” said Jonathan Tobin, senior online editor at Commentary magazine. “I think it would make it a little harder for Jewish Republicans to use the issue of support for Israel against the Democrats…”

On the other hand, she gave faint praise to Trump for his recent approach to Iran and N. Korea. Of the Iran Deal, she says leaving it was a bad idea but not the end of the world.

She is personally admirable for her multifaceted accomplishments; she is also a pianist who has performed with Yo Yo Ma, but to Israel she has done damage and I wonder what, if any effect, her being the director of the Hoover Institute will have on Israel. I hope none at all.
