   You are right. At least Israel and Jordan have been at peace so far.
   What if the Jordanians depose the king in favor of some ayatollahs and we will get Iran->Iraq->Jordan->2.5 million “West Bank” Arabs continuity right on Central Israel’s border (see the map):

   For some reason the Arabs are incapable of running a liberal republic but can run a relatively liberal monarchy. Deposing the monarchies of Egypt, Tunis, Iraq, Yemen and Libya has in no way improved the governance of these countries and bluntly, on precedent, dumping the Hashemites will not improve things either.
