If morality is not from a supreme being, then it is just someone’s opinion and is as changable as the weather.
Deeply believing Christian people murdered, raped, robbed and burned alive their Jewish neighbors.
During Russian revolution and civil war, all groups were guilty of horrible crimes including pogroms. The least pogroms were done by anti-religious Bolsheviks, virtually none were committed by equally anti-religious Machnov- anarchists.
At the same time the deeply believing and observing White Army under leadership of Dennikov did murder a lot of Jews. Ever more Jews were murdered by the religious Ukrainians under leadership of Petlura.
America has twice as many non-believers as Venezuela, yet socialism was established in Venezuela, not in America.
The very word “religion” means believing in nonsense.
If someone believes that God has green eyes, than it is religion.
But if someone believes that currency must be backed up by gold, then it is only an ideology.
Now if someone held the second belief and in addition believe that some big invisible man told him that currency must be backed up by gold, then it would qualify as religion.
I hate the claim that believing in religious superstitions has anything to do with morality.
